I don't think it has anything to do with Michael. From what we know, Michael could possibly be a good person. I don't think he has bad intentions. Though, it's quite odd that in the trailer, Simeon's has is covered. Maybe we went to the present, but not OUR present. Maybe it's a world where Simeon never existed? Or maybe Simeon got killed instead of being turned human. Idk, that's what I think honestly. :/

It isn't the first time Lucifer called MC master. Or maybe it wasn't directed to MC? But likely the former. We technically altered the past which might change our 'present'. It could be possible that their memories are intact and now they view MC as a higher being. Or the good ol' fashion brainwash. Idk honestly.

I think our Man is welcoming us back to the OG world without actually being there, if you get what I mean. And why we see Simeon is because he was the last one we saw then. I get the feeling they'll pick up where they left off in the OG, but with us already have been established as a Council Member and NB needing to finish up whatever he started.

@@iwaterboardchildren lesson 43-19 in OG OM is the most explicit mention where they are are like twins! But the devs do retcon a lot of stuff so considering that was way back in the original first few seasons. Idk if they'll keep that plot point, but I hope they keep continuity.

In relation to Simeon:
Simeon loses his status as an angel pretty late into OG and is turned into a human, so I wonder if messing with the timeline in Nightbringer messed with Simeon's fate and is going to have bad consequences.
Re-watching the teaser and pausing, it's like we are opening our eyes to see Simeon, who was like the very last person we saw before we left in the OG. And maybe Luci being there when we 'wake up'? Welcoming us back, perhaps?
