I’m new and wanting to start collecting as someone who had a large collection of G1 toys as a kid these are up my alley. My brother has been trying to get me in for a long while now and this video helps!
Mike, my fanstoys jive. Out of the box. The left leg was not attached. It was missing two screws. The Screw cover was there .I contacted fanstoys They’re sending me the correct screws. I took pictures and send them . Merry Christmas buddy have a good one.
I scooped up deformation space thundercracker and skywarp last week. 85+ seemed like a very reasonable price. I bought the KO BLUESTREAK TOO. Taking a break is good, I intend to do that in 2023. I’ve got three and four figures of some characters, at different scales, so it’s more about creating more space for me than it is money.
Commander Stack got me reinvigorated this holiday and instead of doing a lot of lurking I jumped back into MP collecting because of him. Finally getting a quality Soundwave (RP-46) and being able to crap a bit on FT's helped a bit too. I finally opened to trying other comany's figures to fill the gaps. TE's Mirage and Hova Jazz are wonderful. Got great deals on Locke and Aegis. The Jinbao Gravity Builder upgrade couldn't have come at a better time where now I feel like I will have a true MP Devy on the shelf. The hardest part about this hobby is you always have to be vested or you're going to miss out on sales and clearanced items. That has soured me a bit but like any hobby got to put in the time.
Third Party legends scale releases are also having an affect. Somebody starting now is more likely to purcahase from Newage as these take up less space and are much cheaper.

I got fanstoys Jazz last week and that pin ur talking about is in the chest/front grill area, they used a screwed pin if that makes any sense almost like ft-44 Thomas where u have to rock his chest or slide it forward or back. Mine slid out but it's very easy to put back in,other than that and having to loosen those shoulder ratchets he's an amazing figure and transformation is not that bad if u take ur time u won't have any paint chipping 👍
I've been collecting since MP01 was released. So its been around 20 years now! 😱 I'd say I'm in the last phase of collecting. I may or may not finish collecting all the MP combiners. I've contemplated selling everything off. But I would say now is a good time to start with all the available options out there despite the cost.
True we have so many great options now that we can have a full collection minus some minor character holes. This is the best time to start a collection with so many figures available for retail or lower

All good points! The persistent question of "will there be a reissue?" is always a big one. At this stage I have anything older that might be tougher/expensive to get now. The only vaporware characters I want are a Computron and Beast King. Fortunately, most of the characters I want already exist or are definitely arriving in the next year or two. Right now, most of what I am looking to get that is available are repaints or other versions of what I already have. Need more decepticons, someone bring on the targetmasters already!
I am still beating myself up for not getting the zeta superion for basically half price when the metallic version came out and the single bots were being sold for super cheap for the original. I also gambled on certain bots going down in price and they doubled or tripled. You never know. I still collect, but slowly and when the price is right. I have been holding off on getting a sky warp, hoping another company would come out with a pleasing design ( or maybe a version that looks like the G1 bot, but does a cybertronian cone plane transformation).
Never leaving the game. I'm more willing to give up mainline toys than Masterpiece or 3P Masterpiece. The Deformation Space toys are all amazing. Their Seekers are great but their Blaster is OUTSTANDING. The sculpt is perfect and he has the best implemented ab-crunch I've ever seen in a Masterpiece toy. The Ramhorn is trash but there are other options for MP cassettes.
Totally agree with you on blaster, managed to get mine from show z for just over £40, and couldn't be happier! Im tempted to get their version of thundercracker, however I've already got mp52 warp & scream, so think the scale would look off?
@@seangregg1405 Yeah the DS Seekers are about a centimeter or so taller at the head than the MP-52 mold, so the scaling might look odd if they're displayed together.
I started a bit later... and it's a GREAT time to collect. Especially with everything Fantoys has slated, I'm getting the bots I want the first time around instead of replacing them as those that started collecting on the onset do. There are very few bots at this point that I have that I'm not happy with ... and likely not be replacing them.
Few good points here, but I think you missed the major point - MPs released today are looking as if they walked out of the G1 cartoon, and although legends look almost as good to a point where it is practically impossible to tell if you are looking at the picture of legends or MP figure, if there are no size reference points in the picture, in reality, they look nowhere near as impressive as their much bigger MP counterparts. Besides, high-end legends figures are cheaper than most MPs, but they are far from being cheap. Also, I think it should be expected that company might not be able to provide spare parts for old figures, regardless if you bought Tesla when it was initially released or got it cheap when Tesla 2.0 was released, so honestly I'm not sure if that was worth mentioning, as it is a non-factor imo. I would still try to contact manufacturer if my older 3P figure got broken, just in case they might still have the parts, there's really nothing you could lose by doing that. :)
Yes the figures released are even better than the same characters made 5 years ago. I saw someone broke their Jazz and I included that point because I broke some of figures in the past and got parts but they are not available anymore.
I've been looking for a deformation space skyward today shows the is sold out. But there's this one company TFS Express has anybody purchased anything from that company? a lot of their prices are a little too good to be true. Just looking for some feedback to see if anyone has good experience with them.
