I like how Robert does not undermine Pag-asa and instead promotes taking info from official sources. That is very responsible. This is a big reason why I like this channel for long-range forecasts and professional insights.
Hello Robert! May I ask why are we experiencing heavy rainfall / rains and quite strong winds even though we are not part of any typhoon signals at all? We are part of Benguet by the way!
The longer it stays on open seas, the more strong it'll become...just like yolanda, monitored it for 5 days before it hit my island...3 days on open seas...50/50
I'm definitely feeling the Typhoon fatigue! 🥵 Pepito(PH)/Man-yi is headed close to my home, south of Angeles City. My in-laws in Metro Manila could also be impacted by this next one. One thing is certain; we're not planning to attend Church services in Metro Manila, Sunday
watching closely here in catanduanes. i'm always waiting for your update. btw, why does gfs show a very different forecast from ecmwf, access, icon etc.? giving us some of hope. people are panic buying here in catanduanes with the fear from super typhoon rolly 4 years ago.
Sir why pag asa had different forecast for manyi? On their forecast it will traverse thru ncr and calabarzon but in jma it go more towards central luzon. What do you think will be more likely
So far, most international agencies (HK, USA, Japan, China, Taiwan) are showing a Bicol Region, CENTRAL LUZON track. Korea shows a more Northern track (Around Isabela - Cagayan). While PAGASA this morning retained their track of Bicol Region, Calabarzon & Metro Manila area. Tomorrow (Friday Nov.15) all the way to Saturday, we'll have a more clearer track projection for MAN YI.
@ClarenceAldreyPapa yes thats why im bothered because i see all of international agencies show central to northern luzon landfall then pag asa publish the advisory and to the shock cavite is on its track. Hoping to have more same track in following days on how to prepare
See there is so much 'fun' in the Philippines, we have storms back to back to back(to back). Like spending the night on a drinking binge with 'friends' then the following day another set of 'friends' you can't say no to, carries you away for another drinking binge.
Blessed morning Robert @WestPacWx ! Just browsed windy app on my phone and my locality, Marinduque Province, is a direct hit for "Pepito" on Sunday, Nov 17, 8Am, when using the ACCESS Forecast Model. How accurate is this in relation to the ECMWF and GFS models? Thank you and Keep safe!

Hey Robert, How big is the probability of Man Yi reaching Super Typhoon status as well?
The longer it stays on open seas, the more strong it'll become...just like yolanda, monitored it for 5 days before it hit my island...3 days on open seas...50/50

Is it possible for the track of Pepito to go furthur south?
yeah it might go landfall in visayas and after that it might landfall in southern luzon or it will js stay at baguio area
Kitesurfing in Pagudpud is going to be EPIC after Man-Yi!
