They just lip-sync. The song are sing by real singers. Their voices used as playback and the actors lip-sync them. The movie Bajirao Mastani is a sad-love story. Deepika (Mastani) is in love with the King but he is already married to Priyanka. So she became his concubine but their love is rejected by the King's mum. Priyanka is the poor queen who have to accept the fact that his husband has another lover. At first she is mad at Mastani but then she feel pity to her and begged her mother in law to accept Mastanai-bajirao's love. But they both died while being apart from each other.

The set is original no visual effects at all. made and decorated with completely with "mirror" as in the original history.The real palace is located in pakistan now(which was a part of India) at that time... the Director recreated it absolutely. If you watch the slow motion at last you can get clearly.
