Chrome still has a place in luxury cars and most likely it always will. One thing I do agree with is that if it's a black label trim or so then yes there shouldn't be any chrome in and out period.
Ah yes Ford, the most recalled brand in history! "Ford has been named the most-recalled auto manufacturer in 2022, according to a dataset released by the United States Department of Transportation on Monday. The American carmaker issued a total of 67 recalls in 2022, a full 22 recalls more than the next highest manufacturer, Volkswagen, which filed 45 recalls."
Hi Kirk, This video was outstanding, I think Kirk you have found your niche… This is what made me curious, and subscribed to your channel’s when you used to do the narrative videos when you were selling Lexuses I really enjoyed your Lexus GX 460 video and your Lexus LX 570 video that’s why I ended up purchasing them with this particular vehicle. It seems very nice inside and out but the price tag in my opinion is way way too high, I think this vehicle would sell good between 80 and 90,000 in my opinion I think a lot of these car companies are just over pricing their vehicles just to make a massive profit. Vehicles are getting ridiculously expensive. Anyway I appreciate all the comments from your family, which I feel enhances the video to get more perspective overall a phenomenal video as always. Have a great day. Have fun and keep doing a wonderful job. Thank you to your whole family and making this video. It just works peace🇺🇸✈️🌎❤️🤍💙⭐️😇👍🙏 Respectfully, JimmyUSAF
Thanks! Yes you can still get the Navigator in "base" form and it still has plenty of features - and would work way better for my family, despite it costing 40k less :)
Kirk, you didn't mentioned that this is the same engine and specs (450hp / 510 lb-ft EB'd 3.5L V6) from the F-150 Raptor and it shows, as Lincoln didn't tune it further to reduce its' harshness (Ford forgets they have to tune the engine further from the Expedition into "Lincoln specs"). Now, with keeping with the theme on Luxo-barges, maybe a Jeep Grand Wagoneer with the new 2T-3.0L "Slant" 6 is in order (it is in the same price range as this topline Navigator). Then maybe a "Slade"...
Just to mention, according to nhtsa, the ford expedition (and by extension lincoln navigator) are the safest vehicles in their class. None of the other fs suvs from nissan, toyota, gm or jeep have higher crash test scores in all tested categories. Just mentioneling since your wife said she likes the feeling of the family being safe.
Having been in the Limo biz for some time, Navs were a staple of my fleet. But the long term quality of Lincolns have declined in reliability over years of heavy use. I don't see much relief in GM products either. I would be looking at Lexus/Toyota first and would be wary of Lincoln. In that biz, the vehicle is in service 24/7.
You can delete the assnine caption chairs when you order it, and i highly recommend it because i had a suburban where any hard braking meant everything in the back flew in between the seats to the floor
Noticed the same thing on my black label. The dealer told me it takes regular gas but the manual recommends premium. I started using the mid grade and and engine idle smoothed out immediately and it stopped driving as rough. That said, the suspension is still floaty.
Hey man good to see you branching out to all the car brands! Hope you're doing well. Also, could you do, you know, an update, sort of about Yamaha's current state? Like, i know there's nothing at the moment, but still, if possible it would be great! Cheers

6:32 Kirk dont be silly. Think about a road trip and you have one leg out and then pull one leg in to stretch. This allows you to bolster both legs individually. No we don't have diff sized legs but they move independently operating off the knee and pelvis for rotation adjusting shape. C'mon.
Everyone is ditching their V8's if they even have an ICE, so in 3-5 years you won't have a choice. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer is in the same price league and it also sports a 2T-slant / I6.
Sounds like the HSD Max (2T-3.4L) is coming to the LX. Is this a test for a rumored Century SUV for JDM? Sounds like the kind of engine packaging Toyota would put there, so it has to be "super smooth".
I'm actually surprised Kirk that you're not impressed with the Revel sound system. Lincoln has proclaimed it to be on par with the likes of the Bang and Olufsen systems in Audi vehicles. They also spent hours with a famous symphony orchestra to tune the sound to perfection according to them.
I thought the revel Ultima in this truck is one of the best I've ever heard. My base revel in the nav I have now (not the 20 or 28 spkr in the one you tested) is rele good as well, just bad spesker placement.
It's only the ultimate if you are never going to drive it at highway speeds. Don't buy a 2023 Navigator. They have a known vibration problem at highway speeds. Dealers and Lincoln Engineering acknowledge the problem but say they have no fix. Deal killer for the Navigator.
Ford needs to release next gen navigator soon, otherwise their market share will be gone soon. $120k for a ten years old truck is a joke, Escalate is way ahead with tech, and grand Waggoner is much newer and better interior from IMHO.
Nice rig, but... I don't care how much bhp that v6 makes, give me v8. 120k for v6 is a no go. I would take an Armada instead, even though less room and less flash.
You have been spending too much seat time in Toyotas, Hyundai's and other Asian vehicles. Dash rattling is normal in UAW made vehicles. You can't fire the workers, they don't have to care about quality and many don't. It's just human nature.
I don't like how the camera is always focused on your face. Why not show us the car not your face. I don't need to look at a face full of hair. Why not let us see what driver is looking at while driving?
Can somebody tell the Americans that luxury is not measured in the amount of chrome?
Actually in this case the chrome fits well.
For Americans luxury is measured by how much YOUS can freeze YOUS ventilated toosh.
Chrome still has a place in luxury cars and most likely it always will. One thing I do agree with is that if it's a black label trim or so then yes there shouldn't be any chrome in and out period.
Yes, it's measured by the frequency and severity of repairs

Great video. When will Lincoln put a hybrid engine in the Navigator?
Wow , they don’t make many of those anymore, and it does hold a lot, but I think you should bring it to the Fanny pack museum , as soon as possible.

Is this a test for a rumored Century SUV for JDM? Sounds like the kind of engine packaging Toyota would put there, so it has to be "super smooth".
I would honestly like to see your review of the Jeep Wagoneer
Its possible to upgrade the engine to 600 ponies..as well suspension can easily be uograded as well. Extra but issues mentioned could be solved.
I think the perfect word for the exterior is chintzy
