I know this is a very off-meta pick but Gale with Freezing Snow is a surprisingly good brawler against Cordelius. Even if Gale is sent to the shadow realm, Cordelius struggles to get up close to Gale because of the SP.

Spen kinda off topic but I wonder if you know that there are some issues with matchmaking rn.
Basically if you play with mini accounts you can easily get free r30-35 cause now the game matches you with people at your trophy level and not based on your brawler trophies so it's significantly easier to push them there. This is literally making ranks worthless and increasing inflation like crazy. It also make it so people at around 40-50k trophies can't match with lower trophies people at least a few times per push, but instead get matched with 70k+ trophies players almost every single game even at 300 trophies. It just feels straight up unfair and makes ladder pretty much unplayable if you are not a ladder sweat or someone playing on a mini.

Me and my friend (both 45-50k) also have the same issue... We always face players above 70k and never players at our own level, but when we push on our alts its soo easy to push r30.

Can I just say Pearl is an excellent counter to Leon and Cordelius. They win every 1v1 mid or close range and pearls super bakes invis leons.

Yes, Pearl is underrated right now and does a lot of damage. I think the overcooked nerf hurt her a little bit, but she’s still really good on passive modes.

Actually, as a Bonnie main, i can say she is also a very great counter to Larry! With her recent buff she now cicles supers in no second so most of the time i just tend to spawn kill Larry every single time.

I think Charlie is a really good counter to Angelo that you didn't mention the spiders are very hard for Angelo to get rid of and you can make him go back to spawn and pinch

I think Charlie is also a very good counter against Angelo, just because of the spider gadget. If you pop the gadget, just spam shots with her and push up to win lane all the time (works for me at least)
I just went agains R-T in barbed ammo and it was actually the biggest brain ever cuz the tick damage triggers the passive idk what it’s called
Imo Mandy is also a good pick against angelo. Because whenever angelo uses super to heal himself, you sort of know that he is staying inside his super. So you just use your super to where he is standing and it usually kills hin
Awesome and very helpful video, but most of these brawlers are banned 90% of the games... So could you do another video where you name the counter of mid or A-B Tier brawlers, just like stu, gene, gale, jessie, brock etc....

-OR- Reload speed decreased from 1.2 to 1.5 seconds
Piper
Main attack damage decreased from 1700 to 1600 at max range
-OR- The number of hits necessary to charge Super increased from 3 to 4 hits at max range
Colette
Teen Spirit no longer charges Colette’s super
Charlie
Decreased Cocoon’s health from 8400 to 5600
Charlie’s Spiders Gadget health decreased from 1400 to 1100 per spider
Angelo
Movement speed decreased from Very Fast to Fast
The numbers of hits necessary to charge Super increased from 2 to 2.5 hits while fully charged
Super now only makes his main attack deal 75% more damage instead of 100%
Frank
Decreased main attack delay time from 1.3 to 1.1 seconds
-OR- Increased main attack range from 6 to 7 tiles
-OR- Frank can now move while using his main attack (similar to Ash)
The additional health from Frank’s Sponge Star Power increased from 1400 to 1700 health
Frank’s Power Grab Star Power will now also give him a 10% movement speed boost on top of the damage boost upon defeating an enemy
Frank’s Active Noise Canceling Gadget’s immunity to crowd control effects increased from 1.5 to 2.5 seconds
Hank
Gained the Tank Trait - charges Super from taking damage
Hank will now only be visible in bushes after his main attack is charged more than 50%
Hank’s It’s Gonna Blow Star Power increased from a 10% to a 15% movement speed buff when his main attack is charged over 80%
Hank’s Take Cover! Star Power damage reduction shield now lasts for an additional 2 seconds after he stops standing next to a wall
-OR- Hank’s Take Cover! Star Power now activates when Hank is within 2 tiles of a wall instead of having to be right next to a wall
Chester
The numbers of hits necessary to charge Super decreased from 7 to 6 hits
Main attack damage increased from 640 to 670 per projectile
-OR- Reload speed increased from 1.9 to 1.8 seconds
Jawbreaker Super damage increased from 200 to 500
Chester’s Candy Beans Gadget healing increased from 420 to 458-572 and now scales with Power Levels
Penny
Health increased from 3200 to 3300
Main attack damage increased from 980 to 1020
Willow
Increased super width from 0.33 to 1.33 tiles
Increased super duration from 4 to 5 seconds
The number of hits necessary to charge Super decreased from 12 to 15 ticks
Barley
Main attack damage increased from 760 to 800
Increased Super projectile speed from 1504 to 1700
Gus
Gus main attack damage increased from 1000 to 1040
Healing from spirits increased from 800 to 920
Gus’s Kooky Popper Gadget can now knock back enemies again
Gus’s Kooky Popper Gadget damage reduced from 2000 to 1600

Main attack damage increased from 980 to 1020
Reload speed increased from 1.5 to 1.3 seconds
Surge
The number of hits necessary to charge Super now depends on Surge’s Upgrade (2-4)
Increased base movement speed from 650 to 700
Surge’s To the Max! Star Power reworked from making his main attack split when hitting walls to making his main attack split upon reaching max distance or when hitting walls every 5 seconds
Kit
Main attack damage increased from 800 to 860
Health increased from 3000 to 3200
Kit’s Cardboard Box Gadget duration reduced from 5 to 3.5 seconds
Kit’s Cardboard Box Gadget now charges his super 50% faster while moving instead of 100% while stationary
Kit’s Power Hungry Star Power reworked from making Kit get 200% power from Power Cubes to Mega Modifiers: Kit gets 140% power from all modifiers (Power Cubes, 8-Bit’s Damage Booster, Ruffs’ Supply Drop, etc.)
Kit’s Overly Attached Star Power reworked from making Kit attach to friendly brawlers for 5 seconds longer to Claws of Love: Friendly brawlers Kit is attached to gain a 20% damage reduction shield
Doug
Gained the Tank Trait - charges Super from taking damage
Main attack healing increased from 600 to 720

BTW, another way to make Chester better would be by making Bell-o-Mania baseline instead and reworking both of his Star Powers (since Sneak Peak is just complete 🗑), but in that case I would make his damage decrease for each stage (maybe start around 800 and decrease by 10% each stage). I included a couple potential changes for some of these, so lmk which ones you guys like the most.

@@YuzuhaGD It might sound like a big change, but it really is not that major. Her super would last the same duration and provide the same utility as before. All this change does is makes it take 1-2 less hits for enemies to break her cocoon. It should have been implemented earlier imo since it makes sense and it wouldn't impact her too much.
@@YuzuhaGD If SC wanted to nerf her more, they would nerf her projectile speed. A 33% cocoon hp nerf would only tone her down a bit.

So basically in casuals it's snipers supremacy and you have to play Piper/Angelo/Nani/Belle (maybe Bea bc a 4k shot will never be bad) or you're screwed you have lost and had an awful time

What build you use on cord?
Honorable mention: Griff can counter cordelius in the right situations. Since cord actively tries to get close, griff can spam out high damage when he gets close enough and shut him down fast. (with his first sp he has a much faster unload speed compared to cord and can win easily in a 1v1)

I was in a ranked game with an angelo on the other team who was in masters last season. I was in diamond 2 and I was playing spike and he couldn’t even get close to me
They need to rework the hit detection system. The fact that you can land that far into the Spike super and just walk out before an instance check/server tick happens is actually ridiculous. 3:23
Lou is also pretty good against Melodie, if you don't let her charge her super before you freeze her she's dead.

Angelo vs a max is a good game for max she can doge and she have a way to dont get dmg so i think its a good matchup

Not good because Angelo can dodge eve shots very easily and like with almost every other brawler in the game all it takes is one super hit and eve is dead.

Question, what do I spend my gold and stuff on as a new player? Do I try to max out 1 brawler? Or 3? Or do I level all brawlers evenly and why? Thanks :)
It depends. You wanna be a ranked player or a ladder player? If you want to be a ranked player, then id recommend you to lvl up meta brawlers (also, diversificate it, dont upgrade like, 3 snipers, or 3 assassins, for example. you should upgrade brawlers that are meta and at the same time, that have different roles. also, i wouldnt consider upgrading brawlers that get banned all the time), upgrade the ones that dont have hypercharge to lvl 10, and the ones that have a hypercharge to lvl 11. So, ur brawlers should be either lvl 1, 10 or 11.
But, if u wanna be a ladder player, then id recommend upgrading the best 3-5 brawlers of each season to lvl 10 or 11 (depending if the brawler has or not an hypercharge), and trying to upgrade every single brawler to at least lvl 7, and gradually upgrading each one of them to 8, and so on
Id recommend watching the videos that spen makes of the 10 best brawlers to max out if u wanna be a ranked player. If not, then id recommend you watching his videos of the best 10 brawlers. (To upgrade the 3-5 brawlers that ive said before)

@@noahbenavides3979 A ladder player is someone who mainly plays on ladder, which is, someone who plays for gaining trophies. Normally, these are the casual players; a ranked player is someone who mainly plays on ranked mode, whose main goal is to rank up and try to reach masters.
The meta is very balanced because they need so much skill to pull off. However because of how skillful this meta is. I think the best proposal is to buff brawlers that are not doing good that counter them like Tara for Cord and Buzz for Larry and Lawrie. It makes the counterplay much better while indirectly nerfing the top.
Yes! Tara has so much potential in this meta and she could only use slight reload speed buff and maybe a tiny dmg buff.

The only thing that counters Angelo is the skill needed to hit the shots. An Angelo can be the absolute best or the absolute worst depending the player so at least he's not thaaat braindead

Probably not because first of all eve has a slow projectile speed and Angelo's speed is very fast he can keep dodging and keep pressure on eve and the moment eve gets her super Angelo would've destroy it with one shot
