@isaw09 IVF is what people who can’t conceive naturally do to have children. They basically make children in a lab by extracting ova (eggs) from the woman and having the man masturbate so they can collect his semen and make them match up. Then, they look at all the embryos and determine which ones have the highest chances of survival and then place them into another woman who they pay to grow and birth the child before being torn from the baby she carried for 9 months. Since it’s an incredibly unnatural process, they have to do a lot of extra things to make it work, like inject the surrogate everyday with immunosuppressants so her body doesn’t kill the baby.

I was finally done with the IVF injections and was so relieved….. then as soon as I was pregnant I had to start heparin injections that I need to do every single day till the baby is 8 weeks old, due to a blood disorder I have 😭
@layalelsheikh917 I was found to have a rare blood clotting disorder that causes recurrent miscarriages, so that’s the only reason I need the heparin. It’s not a normal part of pregnancy

She has to add progesterone to her routine. If the transfer is successful she has to continue the progesterone until her placenta is making its own to sustain the pregnancy, which happens approximately week ten. Progesterone is in an oil and requires going into a muscle, which is why it goes in the 🍑

I had to take progesterone injections from week 10-37 and oh my heavens it takes like 3-5 minutes because the progesterone is such a thick consistency if you put it in fast it will just shoot back out. An the burn is horrendous. But they got me 3 beautiful babies so all in all worth it it still sucked but worth it ❤
I’m a type 1 diabetic. So I can usually hype myself up no problem to inject myself. Shot, insulin pump site, and or sensor insertion or poking my finger. But my birth control shit looks like that. I have to have someone else do it. I just can’t by myself.
