I'm showcasing a small issue that I had on my 2012 ford fusion sport with the rear backup sensors, diagnosed what was wrong and replaced the speaker for the system,
The Lincoln MKZ/MKX/MKZ and Mercury Milan use the same rear-aid speaker as the Ford Fusion. Similar Ford vehicles that use it are the Edge, Mustang, and Taurus. The 04-07 Mercury Monterey actually used it as well.
I have a 2012 Ford Fusion sel and this is by far the best explanation of anything I've been looking for because you can't find anything on 2012 Ford Fusions and if you do it's rare thank you
Thanks for the video. I had the same issue and fixed it by watching your video. I bought the parking aid speaker for 30CAD from the dealer and it took around 15mins to repair it.. Before its total failure, the sound of cross traffic sensor was louder and so disturbing but after replacement it is all good, soft and quieter.(fusion 2012 sel)
Mazda or Lincoln would be the other car company that shares the same parts. Great video I just got rid of mine with that rear parking aid was constantly going off but I watched this video to late. Either way I'll own another Ford so this was very helpful
Thanks for the insight. I have a Ford Edge 2009 that has the same issue but I can’t locate the speaker. Can anyone point me to where the speaker is located?
Ford is TRASH, this same issue has ruined my truck!! No heat no AC barely reads my key can't control the radio all due to a stupid feature that is really unnecessary for an experienced driver. Fu Ford

From Saudi Arabia I say thank you very much for the second time
Great diagnosis Torres.
Thanks for sharing this video, I believe I have the exact same problem, now I know that I don't have to take my rear bumper off to resolve the issue
I'm gonna try this operation soon. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for this video, now I know where that speaker is. Mine got bad too.

It worked. Thank you. Ford Fusion 2010.
I have a 2010 fusion sel and i'm waiting on my new speaker so i can fix it soon.
Thank you
I have a question, Torres. Just how do you get the back-up speaker out? The video doesn't show that.
How did you get to the little speaker location in order to change it out? That's the hard part.
شكرا لك
Anyone know the part number on the speaker?
When you had the problem , did your stereo turn on ? Or not ?
Stereo worked fine, the only thing that happened was the dash showing cross traffic failure
Ford, Mercury, and Buick? did you mean Lincoln?
Yeah, I made the video in a time crunch. It all matters on how the plug is for the speaker
