This is a group of Kansas residents who want to lower the value of the Missouri side of Kansas City, to make the Kansas side look more valuable than what it is.
Missouri has twice the population Kansas does, yet Kansas takes all West Missouri’s money through tax incentives to Missouri’s business owners. It’s been this way for the last 30 years
All of the profit and wealth generated from the plaza from now on will go to the shareholders of the company that owns it, not the businesses in the plaza itself.
I think it will get better now on The Plaza since new permanent owners are now in place and are actively managing here in KCMO... The long ownership transaction process contributed to the recent issues on The Plaza...
@Made2Deep over my 65 years of life I have seen this happen to three different cities, Boulder Colorado, Austin Texas, and Memphis Tennessee, when the huge corporations roll in and start buying up all the main icons of the city, they raise the rent and all the local businesses leave.
@Made2Deep because shareholders have always been interested in making sure small business owners are making money right? Lol, they are going to raise the rent so high that no one can afford to be there except huge corporations…watch.
@Made2Deep all at the cost of higher rent to the local business owners, eventually chasing them out. Time will tell, just like it happened in Bolder CO, Austin TX, and Memphis TENN.
thank God they are actually listening to us. The plaza needs to be safe before it can be anything else
It’s going to be a place full of rundown antique architecture and empty shops in five years, they don’t care about Missouri business owners.

They will raise rent on the business owners so high that no local businesses will thrive.

@Made2Deep yeah, check back in five years. You will find out that their shareholders are more important than anything they said in that side show.

@Made2Deep You think for a second that a Dallas TX based firm is going to care about Kansas city's local business owners??? lol
