The back ground singer on this song is my Grandfather, Gordon Stoker. He left this earth in 2013, but I am still so blessed to be able to hear him in the songs he sang!
Well, also Ray Walker is singing. He's the bass. But- its mostly just Pop (Thats what we called my grandfather) singing.
This is one of the nicest songs Elvis ever recorded, and that sound and background singing is so important. Thanks for posting!

He truly has an exceptional voice. I saw him live in 1975. I can tell you that a recording cannot capture his true singing voice. I am 85 and have listened to singers since the 40's and no one has his full voice. Even Sinatra went to his shows in Vegas.
Personally, I wish he never went to Vegas. It destroyed his marriage and killed him. No one can keep up that pace without drugs. Five long years..lost! :(

When I was a college student in 1960 listened many songs of Elvis Presly. It was simply terrific. To day at this stage when almost touching 80 ,Elvis rock songs are fresh to me as it was in '60. Elvis rock songs will never old. Long live Elvis.
That's how I feel too. In a way I'm amazed. But he was an even better singer than I realised.
Elvis didn't need autotune, fancy processing, or a million synthesized sounds to hide behind - he could sing a cappella and I'd prefer it to anything on the charts today.

@Mantai Luaa. I know exactly what you went through! I was a teen in the 80's as well and it was tough. When everyone else was listening to Madonna, Duran Duran and a Flock of Seagulls I was stuck in the 50's and 60's. It was very hard to relate to others my age especially girls but thank goodness for that neo Rockabilly revival when the Stray Cats arrived on the scene and of course Shakin Stevens. I've still got all my parents records who were teens in the 50's and I'll never part with them.
