Loving your announcement videos, especially this one from New Street. Just wondering, are the announcements only playing on the platforms, and/or are there any playing on the concourse?
Grand Central is the name of the current (since 2015) shopping centre and food court above the edges of the station concourse. The station itself is called Birmingham New Street. Also, the time stamps only work for elapsed time.
Please can you do an updated Birmingham New Street announcements video? Since 14 February 2021, on the Aberystwyth services there's a new calling point of Bow Street inbetween Borth and Aberystwyth.
One announcement for trains which start at the station announced three minutes prior to departure time, two for through trains, one a few minutes before arrival and again when the train is arriving into the station.
great video is there a train that goes to leamington spa? if so which way does the train leave to go to there. does it turn right or left? does it pass tyseley?
Once at Irlam train station the train driver said *Why were you running up and down the train* and they was like: *We wasn't doing it* but other passengers seen it, and reported it to Northern Rail and I got to ban them from Northern xD and the driver did a 3-tone to me but the stupid passengers thought it was to them but it was actually due to the passengers throwing a bottle at the train. And the train had some SERIOUS damage then. I was like: *Ididots!* And they couldn't go down the Manchester to Liverpool line again untill the were 56 xD (they were 18 or 19)
what I don't get is, Anne is the boss of Atos and literally could've loaded up Ruth's recordings to have a listen to the correct pronunciations of the Welsh station names, but nope...
I like Anne's voice I've always remembered it
Yo
Yes
@Yush Anne is the boss of Atos who make the system, and its default voice.
Excellent I’ve been here a couple of times and I’ve heard Anne’s announcements whilst I was there tom Beresford
Am I the only Welsh one here who appreciates the Pwllheli and Aberystwyth announcement? Penychain is such a quiet station tbh
I would if she pronounced it correctly like Ruth! I’ve never heard so many mistakes in an announcement.
@@FGW180101 Yeah true but what do you expect for a TTS service( i think it is TTS)

On the relevant Platform Islands only as I recall. Anne only announces Platform Alteration Announcements on Concourse when I lasted went there.
Only a small handful of the trains are announced in any of the waiting areas, most announcements I got are from the platforms.
Ah right ok! Thanks for the comment! 🙂
Nice long announcements video!
Thank you so much Tom 😀
Yes can’t wait to hear this .
Nice & soft & gentle voice of Birmingham Grand Central Station from 6:10 - 6:23 seconds remaining

I do MASSIVELY prefer the way she says 'Manchester Piccadilly' here and at Euston
@python_megapixel Not to mention that it aslso sounds better

When I went still heard Anne voice in 2022 at new street it come ever 20 minutes
@@amazingsuperu698 she only does generic shit such as "see it say it sorted" and "luggage" due to "noise pollutions"

That wasn't judging. It was just checking what was meant. And maybe helpfully letting the writer know the correct spelling.

Yes there is one goes via Solihull and yes it passes Tyseley and the other goes through Coventry
WHY CROSSCOUNTRY IS GOING TO STANSTED AIRPORT
because the CrossCountry franchise had inherited some additional services due to the big 2007 franchise "shake up".
@@RWL2012 Did that service exist pre-2007 (and, if so, was it in the XC franchise)?
