A child is not born until the child can be seen with our eyes. No one considers a child born even though there is ample evidence that that the child in in the mother's body and can been seen with the use of special optical equipment. Conception and birth and quite different from each other! Similarly the scientific and astronomic evidence can be present that the mon is astronomically born, but, like a child in a mother's womb, we must wait for the VISIBLE evidence of birth with our eyes before we declare that we have the SHAHADA that Ramadan has commenced. The Qur'an demands the SHAHADA for recognizing that the month has commenced! We will no longer attempt to teach this subject to those who follow the misguided Saudi way. Rather we part from them and leave them in their misguidance because they are a danger to us, and we must protect ourselves and the succeeding generations.

The city I live here in Canada, Hamilton, all the masjids started tarawih on Sunday. I also performed tarawih that day, but I was surprised when I get back home. I check the hilal commitee, which said the moon was not sighted and 1st ramadan on Tuesday.
May Allah bless all those who follow the truth,I live in Sierra Leona, and we have a lot (Goat,Sheep and cattle) who reject the Sunnah and the Quran, all of them follow the Saudi Sunnah but unfortunately the moon was not seen any were in Sierra Leone on Sunday but they fast it was only on Monday that the moon was seen as a little baby so according to the Sunnah on Tuesday the commencement of the fast began. I’m in Philadelphia and everyone started according to the Saudi moon sighting which was incorrect. Because I started the day after they followed that non sense and I sighted the moon 🌙 myself
The full moon in America was dark we cannot see it on 29th Sha’aban month. On Monday of Sha’aban 30th , the crescent moon was seen. The next day Romedan began.

I agree with you Sheikh, Ramadan started on the Tuesday for the majority, and Monday for some in the Americas. I started fasting on the Tuesday many around me on the Monday. Its a shame we are not united, with I guess possibilities of different Eids in some years as in the past here in London, it was a mess. Its forbidden to fast Eid feast time isn't it? Interesting that some Muslim countries (Morocco, Indonesia for instance) said start fasting on Tuesday and some still followed the Saudi view and started fasting on Monday. Some argue we let the responsibility rest with Saudi if they get it wrong, if we differ from them and we're wrong then we are accountable. Im confident in my decision to start fasting on the Tuesday.
As for finding Laylatul Qadr, it's likely on odd nights?, we should be united, we help a Brother in need regardless of when he started fasting, we shouldn't be devisive, it's the work of the devil?
Salamun alaikum Sheikh. I have been following you for many years. You opened the door to my knowledge of the divine. You always teach us to think critically. Allah gave the Quran and it is impossible that His Rasool disobeyed His commandments. I would not dare to find any misinformation in your speech but I can humbly request you to think through these two ayats of sura Bakara 185 and sura Yunus 5 . In sura Bakara 185 the word Shahida should be knowing or finding evidence of the month by calculating the phases mentioned in the sura Yunus 5, not sighting or observing the crescent. If all the ulamas of the world could declare now that only Allah has the sovereignty to give commands and He does not have any partners to His commands then the muslims would be united and world will have peace overnight. Sadly , this is not going to happen. Why hadits if the Quran is clear and precise.

Salaam, although I share your concerns regarding the accuracy of the Saudi hilal sighting, the dominant opinion in the Hanafi madhab is clear; any global sighting accepted by the Qadi of that land indicates the commencement of the following month for all Muslims. I am not aware of any rulings that make it permissible to question the Qadi after they have accepted the testimony of those sighting the hilal. I accept there is another (minority) opinion to take local sightings. How do you compromise your view with the dominant opinion of the Hanafi madhab? Secondly, how do you compromise your view to deny a Muslim sighting in a Muslim land in favour of scientific moon sighting prediction maps by non Muslims in non Muslim lands - lands that you have repeatedly advised to make hijrah from and a practice that goes against the methodology in the Quran, which you even stated in this video (ie a physical sighting rather than a calculation)?
If Islam is the religion of science and if one of the basic tenets of the Coran is to adapt to the age in which we live whilst remaining true to the message in the Coran, then why do so many people bicker each year over whether the moon has been sighted or not? When the Coran was revealed, the only way of deciding when to start and stop fasting was to look up at the stars. We now have a lunar calendar, which is used by Muslims on a daily basis the whole year round, EXCEPT when it comes to Ramadan. Each year, much energy is wasted on this and a chance for all Muslims to be united by fasting as one is forsaken.

Yup even on Monday I saw it it was very big which means we fasted on Monday was correct ! I am unfollowing him ! I asked Allah to give me a sign about him ! He does say some stuff that makes sense but he opposes everything KSA does ! I know they are having many mistakes but we really fasted correctly
@rn1itani I don't have an argument with Sheikh Imran. I just don't agree about the sighting. His knowledge is beneficial to gain from even through disagreement. He also says to do our own study, etc.
I respect the Sheg views on all matters except I struggle with the logic of this one. He confirmed drat with technology we were already on the fist of Ramadaan as confirmed by telescopic sightings and calculations a sober the Saudi approach. Why do we now abandon technology and progress when we are now bake to confirm the new moon and lunar month with our technological advances. I find this a serious disconnect.

Salaam Alaykum You would have seen the moon around maghrib time on the Monday 11th March 2024. The Islamic date begins from the sighting of the moon so maghrib 11th March 2024 when moon was sighted from maghrib, ramadan starts so the first fast would have been Tuesday 12th March 2024. So in relation to beginning of recitation of the holy Quran it would have been maghrib time Monday 11th March 2024 till Maghrib time Tuesday 12th March 2024 that would have been day 1 for Surah Baqarah recitation.

No moon was sighted in Europe and the deaf dumb and blind followed Saudi agin blindly after even what is going on Palestine. If Islam is the religion of science and if one of the basic tenets of the Coran is to adapt to the age in which we live whilst remaining true to the message in the Coran, then why do so many people bicker each year over whether the moon has been sighted or not? When the Coran was revealed, the only way of deciding when to start and stop fasting was to look up at the stars. We now have a lunar calendar, which is used by Muslims on a daily basis the whole year round, EXCEPT when it comes to Ramadan. Each year, much energy is wasted on this and a chance for all Muslims to be united by fasting as one is forsaken.
Like the Sun, The moon also rises in the east and the moon is set in the west.. Probably, sunday is no moon day. No moon day is the last day of every month. So, the next day would be 1'st day of next month. So, Sunday was no moon day. The next day monday was the 1st day of Ramzan. Do check the crescent everyday.
I do not speak much Sheik Imran about many things... Many get also angry :) on a simple thing like this Moon sighting they will just tell you, " There is only one moon ". So for them if you are in Europe, Africa America etc, its the same ..AsSalamu Alaikum :)

Yup even on Monday I saw it it was very big which means we fasted on Monday was correct ! I am unfollowing him ! I asked Allah to give me a sign about him ! He does say some stuff that makes sense but he opposes everything KSA does ! I know they are having many mistakes but we really fasted correctly
@rn1itani I don't have an argument with Sheikh Imran. I just don't agree about the sighting. His knowledge is beneficial to gain from even through disagreement. He also says to do our own study, etc.

I respect the Sheg views on all matters except I struggle with the logic of this one. He confirmed drat with technology we were already on the fist of Ramadaan as confirmed by telescopic sightings and calculations a sober the Saudi approach. Why do we now abandon technology and progress when we are now bake to confirm the new moon and lunar month with our technological advances. I find this a serious disconnect.
We must start fasting when the moon is sighted not when the moon is born
That is the logic he is trying to imply. The Saudi government started Ramadan when the moon was born. But the moon was spotted on Monday night that is the 30th of shaban

There are indeed some masjids in india who follow saudi moon sighting and celebrate eid according to them , there should always be local moon sighting with the utilisation of modern technology which Allah gave us

İ have seen the hilal on the monday and so that was the first day of Ramadan. Or is it that the first sighting is not the first day of Ramadan but the next day it is ramadan. İn that case Ramadan started on the 12. İt would be best for me to read the book the quran and the moon again. Thank you
Post Scriptum: yes the new day is not that sun calender day but the new day starts after sunset, therfore the moon you see is in the new day, at that moment the new day already begun but you start fasting after sleep at sunrise. So yes, i can confirm 12.03 was first of Ramadan in Germany!

You would have seen the moon around maghrib time on the Monday 11th March 2024. The Islamic date begins from the sighting of the moon so maghrib 11th March 2024 when moon was sighted from maghrib, ramadan starts so the first fast would have been Tuesday 12th March 2024.
So in relation to beginning of recitation of the holy Quran it would have been maghrib time Monday 11th March 2024 till Maghrib time Tuesday 12th March 2024 that would have been day 1 for Surah Baqarah recitation.
I saw the moon on Tuesday night in Algiers Algeria and I am happy not to follow them even if the moon had appeared on Thursday for me.

Salaam. Alhamdulillah we started Ramadan after completing the 30 days of Shaban. Alhamdulillah. No moon was sighted in Europe and the deaf dumb and blind followed Saudi agin blindly after even what is going on Palestine. As it is stated that if you don’t see the moon then continue until 30 days are complete. No trust in Saudi government. sheikh we love please make more videos for us who do listen to you and acknowledge your knowledge. May Allah give you a long and healthy life. Ameen ❤
