There is no comparison between Kolkata and any city of Pakistan. Indian cities are way ahead in infrastructure, development, cleanliness, public transport etc.
Comparing kolkata with lahore and karchi is such a stupid act, Kolkata is way better in terms of public transport infrastructure, health infrastructure, educational infrastructure, per capita income, in comparison to cities like lahore and karachi. To be very frank if you sideline population and gdp, aspect, then i think two of your cities lahore and karchi even lack behind the smaller metropolis like lucknow, jaipur, indore, surat, Trivandrum, chandigarh etc. Lahore and karachi can be compared to patna, ranchi and jamshedpur.
Have you been in Ranchi? Ranchi is much more developed in terms of infrastructure and transportation, I have seen the Karachi city on UA-cam trust me it can't even match our jamshedpur.

@@gotislay not really, asthetics of the city depends on the population density, the way people drive on roads, the buildings at the side of the road, cleanliness of the roads/streets, separation of commercial and residential areas. Although, even we aren't good at above mentioned factors, still we are better when compared to cities of Pak and Bangladesh. And those motorways which you are talking about are surely good, but those are constructed and operational in patches, And then those motorways are connected with national highways which are pathetic. I don't know whether you are Indian or not but national highways in India are mostly pothole free and well marked. Now I have visited Dhaka once, very good people but sorry to say horrendous city except few areas like gulshan and baridhara . All around dirt, litter, people running like maniacs and rickshaws. We might have bigger GDP but the Infrastructure and cleanliness around the city is still at par with Pakistan except the Metro . Only Some parts of Mumbai & Delhi are really well maintained and look world Class . Chandigarh is a good city but again not much to do over there .
