Very true!! Top 100 are really determined by how much they play the game not how good they are
Cameron Logan some top-100 guys are and some aren’t. Margin of victory tells the story. If a guy has a margin of victory over 3-4 he’s usually pretty good. I’m in the top-40 or so and mine is about 5-6. Problem is when you are high ranked you only get matched with other top guys. So I’d say 9/10 of my games are against top-60 dudes and I’ve played top-10 guys probably 30-40 times of my 300-games. So at a certain point it gets tough to really improve your numbers unless you are using the Chiefs and I refuse to do so. But there are a decent amount of top-100 players who are 🗑 and their record is like 400-375.

Yo you my boy TD Barrett. I need to give you a tip that will make your defense exponentially better. When going heads up for your tackles you need to use your Strafe button to square up when Offender is in open field with your Defender. Make sure you release your Acceleration button moving toward the Ball Carrier while still holding the Strafe. Practice that and you will be even Beastier!!!👍

Completely agree, I'm in the top 15% h2h online after just having an Xbox for the 1st time about 2months ago and 7/10 players are doing the bs all out blitzes, stretch runs and using Jackson to roll out and scramble all over the place. It's complete trash and those that are lucky enough to beat me here and there swear they're good by picking broken plays or a flaw in the system. This is the last madden game I buy until they actually step it up

This makes me want to get back into Madden. When people understand football concepts and how to read a defense; they smoke Madden “players” that run the same plays over & over again (I’m assuming the exclamations over the defender’s heads meant that their Awareness was keying in on you).
The last Madden I spent any significant time on was Madden 08 with Vince Young on the cover. I was Peyton-esque in prior versions with the vision cones; looking off defenders, changing protections, audibles, hot routes, etc.
Anyways, a couple years ago I was dating a girl with a teenage son and he played Madden 17 for 100’s of hours. I hadn’t played in years and I was used to the PS2 controller layout, not the Xbox (which is a big deal in the passing game Icons [X button]). Obviously, without any practice, only games against him, I had a lot of controller layout blunders, delay of games due to playbook & menu unfamiliarity, etc. It took me only 5 games (the only times I played the game) to beat him and he never wanted to play me again. 😂

When facing an uneven hat count on blitzes, slants and quick outs are going to be your best friend. TD keeps trying to hit the big play, but they take too long to develop. He's also one dimensional on offense and it's easier to defend when you don't have to worry about the run.

Hey Td, im no Madden pro...but just from watching your games i feel like sometimes when people bring pressure you go through your regular "Snap, drop back, read, throw" pattern and it ends up in you getting sacked in those situations a lot. What i like to do, is try to identify where the blitz is coming from pre-snap and make an initial commitment to throw to the receiver running a route on the side where the most pressure is coming from and throw it before you even see him open, as quickly as you can after the "HIKE, DROP BACK" animation ends. just trust your instincts and throw the receiver open.
