Thank you for this video Sir! I had stripped and de-scaled my own machine but found that the shower screen and seal kept on coming loose, I hadn't realised but as you pointed out the nut on the piston shaft has to be all the way down. It was driving me nuts. Thank you again :-)
I'm rebuilding my circa 1982 Pavoni and I also am having problems removing the rusted piston insert pin. I don't have access to a hydraulic press. Any suggestions? I'm soaked it WD40 and also applies citric acid to remove the rust. Thanks!
bonjour Hello I have a Europiccola / Professional pavoni with manometer but I do not know if it has an old group or a new.(how to make the difference do you have photos to see the difference ). In addition I do not know where to order the kit to change the joints . thank you Alain
Hi Ice Dr. I have a lever type espresso machine (spring piston type) "Cappucino Amore". I removed the piston and found it has 3 rings with a lip. The top one faces up, second one down faces down. The third one at the bottom of the piston I had removed and don't know remember whether it should be facing up or down. Also, the piston fits inside a 3 in long 1.5 in diameter spring. My questions: 1. In what order should the sea rings be facing (previous owner told me he had them replaced once but not sure he did it right either). 2. How to I get the piston to slide up so I can attach the lever with the two pins? Do I need some sort of press? if so what kind ? Thanks
Thank you so much for this video. My espresso machine was in desperate need of being serviced, and your instruction made it easy.

You might try P Blaster. I think penetrates better than WD-40.

You da man! It would also be nice to see the details of seal and gasket replacement...
Can't believe you skip the two parts where you fit the piston seals and the shower screen seal.
Yeah, that's a bummer.
Wah. I want more for free!
