    You are not helping me love this because it is not available in the States!!!! Lol. Great video brother.

      PowerfulBorn, sorry about that. With the 2nd, you have a huge amount of freedom in many States however the noose is tightening slowly. We here find it hard to understand why something that protects the health of a users hearing (plus doesn't scare the heck out of people or game with noise pollution) should be so restricted??

      @@neillstephenson5482, it is because too many politicians want to be in control of our lives, instead of listening to the people who voted them in their position. They always want the upper hand. They are the ones who only want firearms, so they can completely have us at their mercy.

      Neill Stephenson they want to restrict suppressors because they believe the movies and don’t have any real knowledge of firearms. They believe suppressors make guns so quiet someone can use it like a spy movie and kill people standing in a room with others and no one would hear a thing.
      They also believe ar-15’s are fully automatic 50 caliber military designed weapons of war.

    Hi. Watching this from Sweden. What’s your impression of the rifle. Worth getting? Would you make any changes on purchasing? Cheers Hamish

      Hi, the rifle was something I wanted to purchase in that calibre when I heard Ruger were going big. It is a great rifle and it will depend on what you intend to use it for. It is very heavy, great for recoil management but not for a long carry. Great if you are able to shoot over longer ranges in more open areas, not a bush gun. Needs to be suppressed to avoid upsetting everyone, blowing debris everywhere and make it recoil and noise friendly. Ammo is both difficult to get and costly, even if reloading. But if you have some cash to burn it will put a smile on your face with its power and performance. In its current state it is not as harsh as smaller unsuppressed rifles. Requires solid accessories, case, bipod, sling, scope mounts, suppressor etc.
      Worth it???? IMHO yes.

      @@neillstephenson5482 thanks for the quick reply Neil. I’m a Kiwi coming home soon and was thinking about this Ruger or buying a Tikka mm Rem Mag and dropping it into my PSE ETAC 4 chassis. Will be for 1500m shooting in NZ :-)

    Thanks for the video, great help to me. Wondering if you ever tried whether changing the number of baffles affects PoI?

      No I haven't had the need to change the configuration of the suppressor. It may do slightly?

    Hi Neill, i have a 338LM Ruger too, i want a suppressor. I see it's a 3/4 24. If i choose this Mega in A-lock, no needs adaptator ?

    • @neillstephenson5482
      @neillstephenson5482  3 роки тому

      I purchased the A-lock and H2 mega Suppressor together, the A -Lock is also threaded in 3/4x24 which is easy to place on once you have removed the factory muzzle brake. There is a special tool(sold separately) by most A-Tec retail suppliers that you will need for removing the A-lock. I only hand tightened it on but it does work itself on tight. All up a very nice system, I’m really impressed with it, but like anything associated with the .338, quality accessories are not cheap. Good luck and happy shooting.

    offset red dot is for cqb? with ruger factory muzzel it looks like less recoil

    • @neillstephenson5482
      @neillstephenson5482  3 роки тому

      Hardly a CQB weapon, but it was put on for those occasions you think it unlikely to bump into game on a stroll to the shooting area...so yes for a short range quick shot. DCQ... deer close quarters! Way less noise, blast and recoil with the A-Tec suppressor over the factory muzzle brake.

      @@neillstephenson5482 i am owning Also ruger. 338 so thank you for sharing. Due to the weight of rifle the recoil is almost not occur with a standard muzzel device do hard to imagine decreasing more. BTW fact of closing to deer is the most satisfiding and happens as man without rifle or without season :)

      Hi, yes the 338 is a beast. There is actually a good recoil reduction with this suppressor over the factory brake. Actually I have found this with all suppressors. Plus the noise factor is the biggest bonus. Muzzle velocity is improved as well.
