Thanks for the recommendations! My favourites in the Amber family are: Ambre Sultan by Serge Lutens Violet Ida by Miller Harris Musc Ravageur by Frederic Malle Ambre 114 by Histoires de Parfums
Eloise you give me a new outlook on fragrances I own and want to own, love the way you describe fragrances. I recently purchased Le Lion and you describe it perfectly it is wonderful!!
Great selection of ambers! I definitely need to try Ambra Aurea (Am-brah Ah-u-re-ah) and Ambre Loup (Loo). They've been on my "to-try" list forever. Ambre Precieux (Pre-see-eh) is too heavy on the lavender for me. I also appreciate that they're all true ambers, not just orientals because (contrary to what some people think) these categories are not interchangeable. PS. Here's a tip, "eau/x" is pronounced O, "eu/x" is roughly pronounced E (is actually more like trying to say EH, while shaping the mouth as if you were trying to say OH) 😉
@@PlugInKali thank you!!! It’s definitely not easy to pronounce these French fragrances when you simply don’t speak French ! 😊 but I appreciate this message because at minimum I can take note and can try to pronounce these more correctly :) I do love Ambra Aurea but it is linear (which I personally don’t mind). Thanks for watching !!
Well, you definitely have a solid list for ambers. I think it's my favorite style as well. I would also like to mention Serge Luten's Ambre Sultan. It's a classic now and considered a reference amber for most. Also- Must de Cartier. My favorite green amber. If you can find a vintage, even better. Thanks
Thank you! I love Serge Luten's. I cherish my og bottles and this is the house that started my love for niche frags.... so its surprising that I don't own Ambre Sultan. I am now considering it as a few people recommended this one. Thanks for the recommendations!
I love, love Le Lion but live in a sub tropical location. I have a significant birthday coming up. I am trying to decide wether to buy Le Lion or Coromandel as my birthday treat ( expensive in Australian dollars). I will likely get more wear from Coromandel so leaning toward it. I believe I may buy a full bottle of Coromandel and another decant of Le Lion. Enough about me :) I love your knowledge and calm, interesting reviews. Thank you.
Will test some of thies you mention. I allways have Lune Feline Atelier des Ors and Prada L'Homme. I like yo mix em due to the iris in Prada. But i would like to get The limited edition of Lune Feline becaus it has Iris in it. Great vid❤🎉..
@@Eloisescents0309 ahh damn it sorry i mean Iris Fauve Atelier des Ors. I was tired last night 😆. Been searching Perfums like crazy, so sorry for the mix up. I just lke Lune Feline better then Extrait and i wish that Feline had Iris in it.
@@Eloisescents0309 i wish you luck with futur succes. I am excited to see your vid on Iris! The funny thing about Iris is that it does something extra for women, if they allready feel attraction to a man, the ( EAT him factor ) sets in. Have a brilliant day Eloise.. a very beautyful name i might add ;).
I’m beginning to really enjoy Amber dominant fragrances so this video was great to watch. I have only tried Grand Soir & Material from your list & I thought both were so beautiful. I have a sample of Maison Crivelli’s Ambre Chromatique & I keep going back to it. It’s very strong & a little linear but it’s gorgeous to me. If you ever get to try it, I would love to know what you think of it ♥️
Regarding the sprayers Profumum Roma, you didn't get a defective one...they are the worst in the industry lol. I gave quite a few and they all feel like they get stuck half way through the spray. I love the house but they need to upgrade. All great Amber choices. Two that I would recommend are Elie Saab No. 3 Ambre (done by Francis Kukdijan) and Carner Barcelona Ambar Del Sur
Yes!! It seems as though the sprayer gets stuck and the perfume is going to come out in a different direction. lol. I will look into the ones you recommended. Thank you !!
@@Eloisescents0309they’d probably be better with a dabber since they suggest you run the oily fragrance into skin 🤷🏻♀️ I agree though that for the price, an upgrade is warranted. I enjoy Vanitas, Sorriso, and recently sampled Dulcis in Fundo; I can definitely identify this house by a common smelling base. I have Dolce Acqua (and don’t care for it) and I feel there is something identifiable about the house.
If you like powdery ambers, definitely check out Profumum Roma's Fiore D'Ambra. It's both powdery and floral but also very animalic at the start. If you've ever smelled Serge Lutens' Muscs Koublai Khan, you might see some similarity there. Very pretty and vintage-smelling but much more challenging than Ambra Aurea.
@@shawn6170 I’ve never tried that one by Tom Ford. I know I like this one because it’s smoky, like you said and I’m also interested in Fiore D”Ambra too !

Ambre 114 is one of my fav too. As also Ambre Sultan.
@ ok I just ordered Ambre Sultan! How could I not own it 😊
@ a classic reference Amber. Spicy. Try it in the heat too when you have the opportunity. It’s counterintuitive, but it really blooms in heat.

Really good job on these videos, you have quickly become so natural. Really great job and glad you came around to Gran Soir
