I'm conflicted.
On the one hand, this works concerningly well. Like, it actually sounds good, and I could see him singing it if he was around when the show came out.
On the other hand, it's literally the voice of a man who has been dead for over 31 years.

Every Freddie Mercury cover I hear just proves that no one can ever match his voice, not even a sophisticated computer program.
Yes, yes, and yes, Freddie is too legendary and awesome for AI to copy.
I mean if you’ve seen the Frank Sinatra AI cover of the Five Night’s at Freddy’s song, it can get pretty dang close. If someone does a human cover purposely mimicking Freddy Mercury’s singing style and feeds it to an AI, it could be nearly impossible to tell it apart if mixed well enough.
These AI covers don't move me at all. It sounds like him, but I don't feel anything when I hear it. There is no emotion whatsoever. People are deceived if they think robots can replace humans. Freddie's soul is absolutely not in this. I can only hear Pearl singing this. He would've sung this in a totally different way. I know fans are just making these covers because it's fun, but they're not for me.
@@dreamsanddaytime This exactly what I was thinking for the whole song. He wouldn't sing it like that. I don't think he would be able to NOT have fun with it and with his own voice, to make it different, to make it better/more interesting in some way. Just, it doesn't sound right.

This song genuinely fits into the style of Queen's lesser known somber songs (Who Wants To Live Forever and Jealousy come to mind). Good choice and well respected by us fans who like their slower songs :)

A lot of these AI covers adopt the inflections of the original singer, so that's probably part of it.
it actually sounds very real, but when it comes to the chorus - it misses the kind of nuances and feeling that Freddy would bring to this song. It souds too fast and abrut at some points. It's really good, but it remids there are some things A.I just can't recreate (yet, at least).
True, AI isn't close enough yet to capture The Freddie Feels, but in time it will get there 😗

I applaud your efforts, and it does sound scarily close to Freddie, but as a musician I am not sure how I feel about the concept of Ai mixing with music in general.
Music is an inate human concept and has existed in even the most primitive of cultures, for thousands of years we have refined how we practice and perform music. Lifetimes have been dedicated to simply mastering a single instrument.
Though I'm not blind I see the use in AI and how it could be used to discover new things about music and many other things, for it is intact powerful and learns extremely quickly, I just worry for the day that people no longer care if what they're hearing is human or not, just if it sounds good.
Either ways I'd love to see what happens in the future with how artists will battle or maybe even use this technology, the posebilitied multiplying and skill ceiling increasing. Overall, short answer i am excited to see what comes with this ^-^
I feel like it's okay because it's only using what's already there to create something for fun, it's not as though artists are sitting there creating entirely new stuff with this. I mean, it's a laughing stock in the music industry how people used to write, sing for and orchestrate their own songs and now they just need to sing a bit decently and look hot and a few producers and some autotune can do it all for them. There's no passion in music anymore due to the laziness of people themselves, so why can't we all have a little fun mashing some songs together and appreciate the people putting days into under 3 minutes of entertainment, y'know? I do see your point but people don't exactly have to be good at music anymore for some dude in a booth to edit it to oblivion until it gets stuck in kids' heads anyway.

I do hear Freddie mercury but I also kinda hear deedee’s voice pitched down a bit. Cause it’s sung exactly the same way deedee did (I’ve listened to the song enough times that I’ve practically memorized all her intonations lmaoo.) normally when someone covers a song they change some tiny details like intonations of the length they spend on words or how they pronounce them or harmonies etc. even if they try really hard to stick to the original sound it’s always a little different. Even when an artist re-records their own song or performs it live they sing it slightly differently because that’s just our nature, we aren’t robots. This AI is missing that personality. And Freddie mercury would have added a lot of that to any cover of any song
