LOVE all of the summer colors!! I can’t believe I haven’t seen the succulent celadon before now. I have to get that for sure!!! And love how the flux does the little orange color where it pools. Love those plates!! To be honest I love all of it. lol. I would definitely call amaco about the glaze. Be sure to give them the number off your bottle. I’ve never seeen that before. Please let us know that they say.

That bubble sea mug is stunning!!!!😮 I don’t want all of your secrets but please share how you did the sand dollar plate? The sand dollar has special meaning for my husband and I. I’m so glad to see you used the red onion. I have that glaze and its test piece is waiting to be fired. That ancient copper is disappointing! I’ve seen people use the new ancient copper but this is way darker than anything I’ve seen. I’m afraid of it doing that now. Your cozy up mug is soooo me!! I love it so much. Remember that you put that white glaze on dark clay. I absolutely love it. I know that color isn’t what you expected but I absolutely love all of them. My gosh I’m starting to think this is a novel I’m writing. Haha. How do you make all of the medallions with the sayings on them? Are they stamps? The bear mugs!!!!! OMG HOW FABULOUS😮 The Coyote two step looks soo amazing but this is what I’ve been afraid of. Haha. It looks fabulous, But sound like you have a handy dandy kiln scraper! Girrrlllllll!!! That bear is just CRAZY AMAZING!! Omg you will sell the heck out of these!! Omg you make such an awesome array of pieces!!! I can’t say enough how much I enjoy your kiln openings!!!
You are so sweet! The sand dollar is a giant cookie press cutter/ press. I think I bought it off of Etsy but it’s been so long I don’t remember anymore. Honestly, you could trace the outline on craft foam and roll that into a slab of clay, then using a rubber tip, score the lines. I always add the extra lines to it anyways. I then use my fingers to fold up the edges to make an organic rim. I hope that gives you a good starting place. If I find out where I bought the press from, I’ll let you know!
Great kiln opening Sarah! I loved all your glaze combinations. I’m also puzzled by your texture turquoise. Maybe it’s a bad batch. I believe I got a bad batch of Fairy Rose because it doesn’t look like my previous one. Thanks for sharing!❤
depending on how much you have of the liner glaze I might try adding zircopax to it, or Ultrox. I can't get Zircopax where I am anymore. Anyway, I'd just measure out 100 ml of glaze and try adding 5 g of the opacifier to that. If your glaze is very thick already you might want to add a tiny bit of water, but 5 grams shouldn't make much of a difference one way or another. If you have a gallon of the stuff, I'd run one test at 5g and one at 10g per 100 ml.
Hey Sarah, not sure what is up with that textured turquoise, definitely weird. For me its sometimes a brownish color when its too thin, but on your plates the glaze seems thick enough you can see it is even pooling in the corners. I think the big bowl is gorgeous even if its not what you expected. I love how you throw celadon bloom on different items its a neat look.
Love your combinations. Regarding the Textured Turquoise, could your kiln have gotten too hot? I’m finding several of my glazes misbehave when it gets too hot.
So very pritty.
Love all the pieces.
♡
Thanks so much 😊
@@PerrinPottery you are welcome
Oh I LOVE the little shell dip bowls!! And the sea life mug is sooo amazing! 😍

Hey Sarah, great kiln unload. love the bubble sea creature mug and the bear utensil holder.
Thanks so much! 😊
Love your pottery, especially the scripture on them. Another potter from Adelaide Australia.
Thank you so much! 😊
Beautiful work. I especially love the ocean mug with the underglaze bubbles.
Thank you! 😊 I think that’s my favorite as well.
Love them all but the bear wins the best of kiln award
Awe, thanks. I was really happy with him!
The bear came out amazing!
Thanks! I was relieved when I saw him.
Hello Sarah! Thank you for sharing! Also the things that did not work 😢 but love the pieces that did work❤
Thank you, that’s pottery for ya.

You are so welcome!
Great unload but my favourite is the bear😍

Succulent is BEAUTIFUL!
You have something for every taste. Love the colors but also liked the white/beige ones too.
Really pretty. The white may not be what you were trying to get, but it looks great. I wouldn't reglaze.

Yeah, maybe. I have another bottle so maybe I’ll give a small piece a try.
Great unload! Can I ask where you got your feeling salty stamp?

Ok that’s great info. I think I’ll do that. Test it first then if it doesn’t work out, I’ll just make a new recipe.
Beautiful colors. Many of your mugs could have over glaze transfers on them
I think so too! I have them set aside to find the perfect ones.
Beautiful! On the 2nd mug you showed, where did you get the ocean waves transfers?
Thank you so much, I believe it was Sanbao. The website is chinaclayart.com

And that ocean life mug is like wowza so gorgeous
I LOVE celadon bloom… I’d put it on toast if I could. 😂 Yeah, not sure about the TT. Oh well.
On the ocean cups did you use the underglaze before bisque
No, I did it after bisque. 😊
Love your combinations. Regarding the Textured Turquoise, could your kiln have gotten too hot? I’m finding several of my glazes misbehave when it gets too hot.
I would suspect that too except the cone pack showed a 5.5 and the dark star clay bloats when it gets over 6 and they are all fine. Hmm.
Well, I’m baffled too then. I’ve had Textured Turquoise run by so far it has never gotten that color. Sorry I couldn’t help.
@@roosterhollow4205thanks for trying, maybe I’ll post on the Amaco Facebook group and see if someone has any other ideas.
Sounds good.
Maybe you put a wrong lid on tex tourquise and darkened it by accident?
Anything is possible’s but I don’t think that happened. Any other thoughts?
