Hey there, I am so new and have some limitations on sitting at the computer long enough to fix stuff sometimes LOL and I am STUCK. I downloaded Neve and added a starter site with EASE on my one WP site, then the other one that I've had other themes on, somehow when I downloaded Neve after deleting the others, it would NOT show me the starter sites - I've spent hours, uninstalled and re-installed and it won't show me the page that popped up immediately after choosing starter site, or maybe clicking import - that downloaded the plugins (templates cloud) in order to get the starter site to load. In dashboard, I go to theme, neve option, and starter site and it clicks to an empty dashboard page....over and over and over HELP? lol Thank you!
I am using free version of Neve. I can see that the Media folder is directly available to any user or anyone who visits website. It is not restricted to author! is there any way to restrict it to avoid direct access by other site users and google search or indexing. basically out of box Theme should be able to hiding it.

I think you should go check out the color options under customize. although I think you have such options only in the pro version of Neve, you can use custom CSS if you know how

I was initially the same thinking that it was only available for pro-version in order to change the color of the font, turned out no - it can be changed - regardless if it is a free version. It can't be done with using elementor which I was using, this function seems not being displayed in the customizer menu which was why I thought it couldn't be done, so the key is it has to be approached directly by clicking the pen-icon in the header menu area which once if clicked, this will then open up the option to change the color of the font and many more options to allow more customization and can make the menu appear cooler :) Cheers,

You are right. If you write blog posts, for example, your Neve settings will apply. When creating pages with Elementor and using templates with header and footer, those elements will use the global settings of Neve in the customizer. Everything else can and must be changed in the settings of each Elementor widget. I hope it is clear enough for you now.

I have set my fonts, colors, buttons, header and footer in Neve (as recommended), but when I download a pre-built website from NEVE and open the page in Elementor, I can't find anything back from my settings. Elementor does not recognize anything, does not customize anything, does not even see my NEVE settings!! What is the purpose of making all the settings to your taste in the NEVE theme when everything is ruled out and superseded by the settings of the pre-built website or those of Elementor? I am really struggling here!! Please provide guidance because I am no web designer!
Hey, Laurence. Sorry for the late answer. Its normal to have separate settings for Neve and Elementor. With Elementor you only create the content of the page and you are able to control typography, color etc on that particular page. The customizer settings of Neve affects global settings for every page and post as well as the header and footer area etc.
I have the Neve theme using Beaver builder. I am just starting my site. I cannot figure out how to change the default image on the homepage for my custom image. Can you please show how to change this image and add new images in all the sections.

@@RobertPeterK I using the Elementor to edit the Zelle Theme (Neve). I finally found out, how to create a button and link to my blog. But I did not figure out a way to create a sticky menu and link it to the section (ex: have the Testimonials Menu and on the click scroll down to the section Testimonials).

Neve is OK. But please keep in mind that if you purchase paid upgrade, it will become a mandatory yearly subscription. And if you decide to STOP the subscription all pro features will be stripped-away. BE VERY CAREFUL with that, if you stop the subscription many links on your site (like your custom menus liks etc.) will break and your site's SEO will be severely DAMAGED. If you are ok with yearly subscription, which has increased nearly 20% from last year, neve is OK template to use. I am very disappointed in how ThemeIsle operates.

Go to the Header section in your Customizer.
Click on the menu element and then use the style tab to change the way it works on hover.

You should click on the six dots above the first section when using Elementor and change the background image in the style tab.
