@@jen_mceballos he has really curly hair, so it's knots up easily and gets poofy. So my guess is just full of knots and poofy. And poofy meaning it just does whatever it wants.. Sticks up everywhere. One of my cousins has curly hair, but takes a straight iron to it most days. (When she was a kid, it would knot up All the time... Do whatever it wanted to do. That's why she straight irons it most days.)
My hair is Really thick and knots up easily. I use leave-in conditioner. I don't like the wash out conditioner.. if I use the wash out conditioner, no matter if I condition before or after shampooing, it gets sooo full of knots... Like I never used conditioner.
Anyway... Hope they cleared up any confusion! Sorry it took so long for you to get a reply. I just happened to look at the replies on this thread. UA-cam doesn't always notify of replies though. So that's probably why nobody replied. I don't get 90% of the replies on my comments.

I say this in truth and with love as a follower of Jesus Christ . What part of the Bible are you guys ignoring , the bible states That men are not to have long hair only women are to have long hair. Jesus never had long hair the bible says Jesus is perfect in obeying God's laws about men having long hair . Also it says men are not to dress as a woman and women are not to dress as a man. Please remember your in the public eye using your platform what message are you sending out to others especially to young kids ? This is where wisdom needs to be applied being obedient to God's word as an example to others . We must not stumble anyone. Your hair will still be gorgeous cut short plenty of manly styles to choose from. 😇📖💯👍❣️

I have to try it! I have curly hair and I straighten it at times. The curls are hard to maintain. But will NEVER do permanent straightening stuff on it. Cause I love the curls.

I have never been able to manage my curly hair. It's always plicky platt on day one and shaboom on day two 😂 This has inspired me to do better.
If you haven't already, check out the Curly Girl method. I didnt know i had curls until i followed those recommendations.

I dare u to put conditioner in ur hair on one side use fingers to detangle and the other side use a brush when u in shower and just see how much better covered and feels so saturated on the brush side. If u dont use brush u cant cover every strand with conditioner ...i dare u to try it @@Revonda_

I have a similar texture hair and I can confirm the amount of product needed to keep it looking noice through a long night. Especially if there is humidity.
I'm a curly girl and shampoo does dry curly coily hair out but I have to wash my hair with a moisturizing shampoo deep condition afterwards to seal in moisture but I can't wash more than once a week I use a lot of styling detangling products also tangles are a problem with curly hair textures he's funny I love Brandon Lake😊

I just got 4th row tickets for April 18th in Toronto Canada for my wife's birthday! He's literally our favorite artist. We played so many of his songs during our wedding this past year. Can't wait to see him live
@SeekASquatch he has songs telling us to worship God and Jesus. That's not false at all. And the song (to good to not believe) I can relate to because I was suppose to have metal bolts surgically removed but after praying to Jesus and seeing him during my prayer he told me everything would be okay. Day of surgery doctors couldn't find the bolts and couldn't explain what happened. Maybe you need to look in the mirror and check yourself. God bless you and I hope God gives you better judgment
My girlfriend and I were at the first show of his tour in Birmingham. We got seats right up close as well. Awesome show that creates so much space for the Holy Spirit to move. It’s amazing, no matter where you sit the Holy Spirit is going to move! Enjoy the concert!

I have curly hair .. thank you I didn’t know I didn’t have to shampoo to wash my hair clean .. I have spent hundreds if no thousands of $ to find the right shampoo! You’re absolutely right it dries up your hair! Thank you for the tip ❤❤
He was using a shampoo that likely had surfactants and stripping agents in it to remove the oils/dirt and dried it out. But you could shampoo to get the dirt/oils out but just try shampoos without the surfectants. A clarifying shampoo would be good. He also may be using a co wash..
Shampoo once a month. Co wash all other times. I changed to this routine 6 years ago. My hair flourished.

Brandon needs one of those Bestool detangling brushes. I have the same hair as him, and I use it when my hair is wet, and it works absolute miracles, and I don't need to use a ton of conditioner.

I wash once every few days & use conditioner, but immediately out the shower I just towel-squeeze my hair upside down and scrunch/smooth coconut oil that I rubbed together in my palms all throughout that hair. It's great for the whole day, then the next morning I just fully rinse my hair so it's completely saturated again, towel-squeeze again and just use oil again (don't need as much the next day, but still need it). I can do this for 3 or 4 days and my hair isn't greasy. It took me into my early 30s to figure out my curl needs. I used to just straighten my hair every day because i didn't know how to take care of my curls. I love them now and my hair is so healthy!

I, myself, Haven't used shampoo for over 20 yrs now~ I wash mine almost everyday as well. But, I use WEN & it's AWESOME!! Haven't used shampoo since I started using Wen 💜 And, It makes it grow like crazy!! It gets the tangles out easy peasy & mine is super thick & wavy, too!!

I rarely shampoo my hair as well, maybe 3-4 times a year. Shampoo is a no no for curly hair that frizzes and dries out. I replace shampoo with a cleansing mask and prepoo (a cleansing conditioner).
I have your hair and fought with it ever since I was a kid. Being a woman with dark hair and blue eyes if I let my hair do its thing I think I look like a witch! I used to go through several bottles of conditioner as well. Then I discovered Wen by Chaz Dean. I still had to use a lot of it because I had a lot of hair and I got to be too expensive. I would love to know what he uses on his hair instead of shampoo.
Thinking the same. I immediately thought he uses Wen? No, then I now want to let him know about it. I don’t have that type of hair but I’ve seen many who do use Wen with AMAZING results!

Shoo! Fl humidity is different than Ohio humidity! I was down in Fl a couple days and my hair was a HOT mess! 😂😂😂 more so than usual lol. My hair went from wavy to lion king in matter of mins 😅🤣🤣

My son has hair like Brandon. I tell him not to wash it every day because he does have ethnic (mixed) hair.
Love that he lnows what his curls need and does it. My hair knots easily as well so I get it dude (though I use shampoo because I have mixed curl types)... but you can cut the amout of conditioner if you add water (put in conditioner, add a little water to get a comb/brust through those knots), it actually works

I use the curly girl method, too! I have wavy, not curly, but i use a thin conditioner to "wash" and a thick one for my ends. The only time I ever use shampoo is once a week after I do a coconut/argan oil treatment or after I dye my hair.

Although in my profile pic, my hair is straight, I have extremely curly hair. If you did a keratin straightening treatment on your hair 4 to 6 times a year, your hair will stop exploding when you get hot & sweaty, or when you walk outside in the state of NC. I’m a Californian who is temporarily in NC to take care of my parents. The first two years I was here, besides wanting to hibernate all summer from humidity which I have zero tolerance of, I wore a baseball cap those first two summers. Then I bought a keratin straightening kit & used it on my hair. I didn’t get stick straight hair, but it did relax my hair & prevent my hair from expanding in the humidity of during a walk.
I have hair JUST like yours. I use Redkin Mega Soft Curls. Ny granddaughter is a manger at Ulta and got me using this a while back

Use sulfur free shampoo! There are a lot of real nature products out there. Cond has chemicals in it. Use coconut oil if anything. This is coming from a retired hairstylist for over 40 years. ♥️

I shampoo my curls once a month or more. Shampoo really is drying especially for kinky/coily/curly hair. I wished more people knew this and would use it sparingly. Co wash (washing with conditioners) is the way to go.
I have curly hair too. I haven't used shampoo in 3 years . My hair stopped falling out. It's really grown. 😊
A lot of conditioners already have cleansers in them. I only use actual shampoo once in a while. I use fermented rice water and conditioner. But you gotta take care of them curls.
