I'm a cosmetology student and I want to share a little color theory in the comment section for anyone who doesn't know this. Colors across from each other on the color wheel cancel each other out. This is true with hair as well. Red cancels out green and vice versa, orange covers darkness in skin (for hair neutralizes blue and vice versa) purple cancels out yellowness and vice versa. If you have purple dark spots under your eyes, use a yellow corrector. for darkness use peach for lighter skin and orange for deeper skin. Redness, as Bianca said, needs green. Do this before your foundation and you won't have to use as much foundation to cover up the imperfections. You get better coverage with less product.
Christ! I've been completely using the wrong color corrector for a dark area on my face. I'm so sick of getting the makeup thing wrong. Thanks to both of you for clearing that up. Getting peach today.
Hey there! I just wanted to say THANK YOUUUU!!! Thank you a million times over for being so much braver than I am. I'm a youtuber as well (7+ years online) and while my job is to look "PERFECT" on camera, I've sincerely struggled with my skin privately my entire life. I was actually looking for a video on covering acne for a wedding I'm participating in (bridesmaid) and I stumbled across your video (immediately subbed). On camera it's easy to fake it with great lighting and a gaussian blur in post lol, but in REAL LIFE, I feel extremely self conscious. Thank you for not making me feel so alien in a picture perfect society, where an airbrushed face is the standard of beauty. Keep doing what you're doing. YOU. ARE. AMAZING. 💝
I'm SO very proud of your confidence and being so brave to show us your skin despite your acne. you are beautiful and your personality make your even more beautiful! xxo

I love what you represent. That was very brave and selfless. I learned a lot about green and the red concealers. Now I know what they do and not think they are for green and red people. Ha Ha. I need these for my hyperpigmentation issues. I use to have bad acne as a teen. I understand. Thanks for the video, now I know how to even my skin tone.
CoCoPopx have you tried the Ordinary serums? I've only been using them a little over a week and my old acne scars and skin tone has evened out massively. and if you use the Deciem website they're freakin cheap compared to most treatments (I got 6 different things and only spent $40). I don't have hyper pigmentation but I know they have at least one product for it. anyway, sry if I'm rambling lol😅
OMG!!! I’m so shocked! You are a true artist! I haven’t worn full makeup in over 10 years.. the struggle is real! I have lots to re-learn. You have the face of my teens, it took learning the secret is healing from the inside out and then all thats left are scars to cover till they fade... Gotta go buy some makeup. Thanks! It gets better.
bianca, i truly admire how confident you are with your acne! that’s what i’m trying to work on because my acne over comes my self-esteem & i just wanna lock myself in a room & never leave. but sweetie, you’re gorgeous regardless! god bless ❤️
Thank you for this video I too suffer from adult acne in my 40's. You're an inspiration to all of us. Thanks again for the tips on how to apply makeup for people who have acne and acne scars.
Omg! I loved your video., I have had the hardest time trying to find the best way to do my make up to hide my acne marks and I am so glad to had found your video. Thank you ☺️
Oh my goodness I love you for sharing this honest and truthful video. My teenage daughter is fair like you and I had no idea how to cover her acne marks since we don't share complexion or undertones. It's so thoughtful of you to share your struggles as well as your triumphs. Young ladies need to know there are others battling and surviving the same issues! ! May God continue to bless you to be a blessing to others. We have the same problems with our skin
I LOVE how real you are! You are absolutely beautiful inside and out. I’ve been struggling with acne for almost all of my 44 years. Thank you so much for the great tips ☺️
Hey Bianca, Just wanted to thank you for being totally vulnerable and candid with your audience. It takes alot of guts to put something that makes us a bit insecure out front street and then zoom in on it, but girrrrllll.... you killed it!! Keep doing what you're doing! Cheers to 200,000 and beyond!
I love how ur so genuine when u talk or review things :) I've suffered from acne since forever, and ur videos really cheer me up and helps me to remind myself that I'm not suffering alone when it comes to acne
Omg what you did was amazing thank you for sharing that . I have a genetic condition which leaves me with perfect skin but breakable bones. It took so much courage to show your viewers your natural face. Thx
Simply Wow! Even though i dont have acne, i do have brown stains around my face and I also feel self concious about it. I am in the process of learning new brands and how to as I am a 47 year old mom that only wore make up in my teens and early 20's. It is a whole new world when it comes to make up. You are an inspiration to many. Thank you.
You are so brave and inspiring ! I have been dealing with acne prone skin almost my entire adult life! Whenever my acne got really bad i would literally hibernate and never go out meaning i would get depressed. Acne is the worst it really ruins your self esteem. Thank you for your transparency!
I’ve had acne since the fifth grade, and I never wear makeup. I UNDERSTAND BIANCA my dermatologists keeps telling me it won’t last forever, but sometimes it feels like it will never go away 😭. Besides being DIRECTLY on your face, acne can hurt, leave scars, fluctuate WAY too often, and overall make you feel not so great. 😕 Thank you Bianca for starting off with no makeup on, and being 100% real with us
wow just discovered you, thank you for the speech at the end about acne I get really insecure and self-conscious about my acne that I really don't like leaving my house and I feel like my makeup always looks shit because of it. its great to see how confident you are by having the courage to actually show your acne on such a large platform as most beauty gurus have perfect and flawless skin which also makes you even more insecure, you are absolutely beautiful both ways! x
I appreciate this video because I've had cystic acne since I was a teen and the scarring is crazy. But videos like yours and people like you remind me that it's okay to wear makeup or no makeup. You are beautiful as you are.
I have struggled with cystic acne my entire life so I feel your pain! You are beautiful no matter what! Spironolactone oral medication paired with a benzoyl peroxide wash and onexton in the morning and cetaphil wash at night with adapelene gel is the only thing that has cleared my face and I have even tried accutane and it came back. Spironolactone gave me so much of my confidence back!
Omg. I’m so happy I found your channel. I applaud you for going on camera while you’re breaking out. It takes so much courage on your part, I don’t want to go anywhere when I break out 😭 but it def helps to know I’m not the only one and I can learn how to cover up my acne better. I hate when people say you shouldn’t be wearing make up when you have acne, but I rather put makeup on than look bare/red out in public. Thank you so much. Please never stop doing your videos. Love you!!!!
Girl!!!!!!! When I saw this, I was shook. I was like honey nothing is gonna fix that, then you were like, I’m a pro and here we are. You are a GODDDESSSSSSSS
Omg Thank you soooooo much for this video..It is so hard to find a coloured person experiencing the same skin problems I am having AND has amazing courage and honesty to do a video about that. You Go girl!💕
I know this must've been nerve-wracking to put up. YT can be really cruel. This video is going to help so many people- you're wonderful, beautiful and powerful!
I never understood how acne can have a big impact on one’s life until I gave birth to my son. I had bad breakouts all over my forehead and cheeks for months after having him. Now that I’m 6 months postpartum, my skin has cleared up and looks great again. Keep up the good work Bianca! You’re beautiful! 😊
Yeah same. I remember being 12 and bkt realizing how can pplnworry do much about a rash on their face now Im 15 and have not very severe, but acne, and sometimes I just don't want to leave the house
Thank you for your video!!!!! I have been struggling with acne for the last 6 months (a privilege I know since so many in the community have been struggling for years). I appreciate you!
I’m sure you get tons of recommendations, but I started cleansing with oil first then use my regular mild cleanser and it’s helped tremendously! Oil dissolves oil and breaks down the SPF. Then I apply apple cider vinegar at night and my skin is much better! I think the acid in the vinegar helps fade the acne scars because after a few months those scars are lighter. It’s more natural than the dermatologist creams that have severely dried out my skin and it’s waaay cheaper🤗
I’ve never commented on a UA-cam video but I am extremely grateful for you. My skin is getting revenge on me right now and I have a full on horrible break out. Thank you so much for being real and for trying to help those w/o perfect skin! We appreciate you ;-)
Ok... So I know you've received ALL kinds of tips for dealing with acne, but this really worked for me. I had to invest in a Clarisonic spin tool to clear the excess makeup and dirt from my face after using makeup wipes to remove the makeup. Cleaning my skin EVERY night and EVERY morning was crucial. I had to start using ONLY non-comedegenic makeup, which was only Clinique for me. There are other brands, but this was the easiest to obtain. I have to mix 2 different full coverage powders to get the perfect color, but it definitely works and I no longer have to wear foundation... YAY! I fluctuate my cleansers between pure Black soap and any really good organic cleanser that's not too drying, but always use Aloe Vera gel as my toner (doesn't have to be fresh from the plant, but I get the organic Lily of the Desert brand). Then, this is the most crucial step - I apply Tea Tree oil with a Qtip to each pimple on my face. Only use on the pimple! This will take the inflammation out and flatten the pimple within a few days. I have really sensitive skin and I swear this works. Actually, Tea Tree oil works to heal EVERYTHING! I've even used it on paper cuts. Lol! Just don't apply all over your face, just on the actual pimple. I also have to consistently use a moisturizer, even though I have oily skin. There are moisturizers made for oily skin also. Finally, I found a REALLY good fade cream and I've only seen it at Walgreens. It's Dagget&Ramsdell Skin Lightening Cream. I actually use the Hand & Body formula (it send to be a little stronger and weeks faster), but only use a Qtip to apply it directly to the spots. It works within a couple of weeks also. Sometimes within one week. It REALLY works. Hope this helps, but the most important advice is to stick to non-comedegenic products. It sucks, but they really do work best with acne prone skin. I simply can't use Nars, Mac and all the other cool makeup anymore. Love your channel!
im loven how transparent you are great video and yessss you brought out the Rimmel foundation i love it obsessed the best coverage ive ever found for such a discount price
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this video!!! You are so inspiring!! God bless you❤️ I pray you have luck with the healing process of your skin. I’m struggling with that as well but we got this girl. You are still beautiful inside and out!! Your acne does NOT define who you are. Thank you so much for being you and being confident enough to show everyone the REAL you. We need more real people out there like this
i don't actually have acne problems but i like to see this tutorials, i mean, people with acne is always nicer than the other idk why, so much loveeeee for u
Hi Tammie the doctors of Proactive have sold that business and their new skincare line is Rodan+Fields. Ranked Number. 1 for years 2016-2018. Here is my IG Klatham101 and my url kimlatham.myrandf.com.
I am in awe of the bravery in putting your face on film when it causes you so much anxiety. You have a wonderful glowing personality- should you that to blind people :-). Now, I am lucky in that I never had to deal with acne and the scaring that it causes, but after a car accident I was left with quite a lot of scaring on my face. I have been treating my face using derma rollers. They have done wonderful things for my skin- my scars are much less noticeable now. Just wanted to share in case it could work for others struggling with scars. Big hugs to everyone- have a gorgeous day!!
I dealt with cystic acne for years and even with makeup I felt like I was being stared at like you mentioned. After 6 months on accutane a few years ago, my skin is better but now there’s scarring that I struggle to cover up. I’m so glad I came across this video so I can try out this color correcting technique and hope that it helps with my coverage. Thank you!!
Just when I thought I couldn’t adore you any more, I come across this video. Thank you for being so REAL and putting yourself out there. You’re beautiful with or without makeup ❤️
I also self conscious about my acne but this tutorial helped so much!!!! One of the realest makeup tutorials ever! Thank you so much, this is amazing! :)
Love your personality! I struggled with acne since elementary school so I know the struggle. Thanks for being authentic it helps us less-than-perfect skinned ladies feel more normal.
I used to have those break outs like yours, they never go away and I cleared out with Efflacar... now I have like 2 years without break outs.... that's my holy grail!!! thanks for the make up tips!!
Thank you so much for this. I suffer from acne brought on by stress and I know what you mean about feeling like everyone is staring at it. I cant tell you how many videos I've watched about how to cover up acne but the UA-camr has like 1 pimple so you've definitely made me feel more normal. You're beautiful with and without makeup.
I recommend microneedling! I have real bad acne and acne scars that have been on my face since 16 yrs old im now 26 and after trying everything I can say microneedling is the best procedure thats worked, i thought my scars were going to be a part of my face forever and I cried when i started seeing results and how much my break outs have decreased and my scars diminishing😭 you are beautiful and your make up routine reminds me so much of mine!
Hey! I struggle with acne too so I just wanted to suggest using Castile soap as a face wash! It's an all natural liquid soap and comes in a lot of different sizes and 'scents'. I usually get the 32oz because a little goes a looong way so one bottle lasts me a super long time. Anyways no matter how many products i try ive always found that soap helps me the best! :) Some other great hacks: -Alcohol free Witch hazel as a toner -Korean sheet face masks ( a company called The Saem is REALLY good) -Sunscreen (even if you're black like me sunscreen is your face's best friend. Prevents discoloration) - One Step Original Clear Pad by COSRX (whenever i use this stuff on a fresh pimple at night by the next morning that patch of skin is flat again. Amazing stuff)
Also im not saying any of this stuff is a cure cuz no matter how much i use them i still get bad breakouts every once in a while due to hormones, but they do help lessen them!! And thank you so much for this tutorial. Helped a lot! ♡♡
Girl I absolutely love how transparent you are And you’re very pretty and witty too 😘😘😘 I just learned of color correcting today lol and was so confused which color I needed You helped me out SO much!!
I envy your confidence. I, too, suffer with adult acne (I have had acne since I was 11 years old (I'm now 34) and I choose to hide my face from the world with makeup. I've felt like prisoner for much of my life. Been on Accutane 3 times and every prescription, antibiotic and OTC you can think of. Nothing helped. And as a result my self esteem is jacked as I'm ALWAYS focused on my face and what people think. Ugh. What I have found though is that my skin responds more to my diet than any topical creams or skin routines. Eliminating dairy from my diet has helped my skin tremendously. Also reducing my intake of meat (working towards a full blown Pescatarian diet). Also, I take spironolactone (100mg/day) (not sure if it helps but I'm not going to stop out of fear it IS helping). My skin is far from perfect but I'm thankful for the major reduction of acne. Now, my next quest is to permanently get rid of these scars and hyperpigmentation.... Sigh.... Never ending story it seems... Anywho, THANK YOU for this video and your willingness to share something I know first hand can be super difficult to show, especially the world. And best of luck to you on your skin journey.
Girl I adore you! I just subbed because you remind me of myself. I also struggle with acne and scaring. Not only on my face but on my chest, shoulders and back. It’s very embarrassing and it makes me feel very self conscious. But the fact that you can come on here and be your 100% self with/without makeup on... that’s definitely something to admire. ❤️
I agree with Ashley below! Thanks for the great tutorial and for having the courage to put yourself out there without makeup on! I'm having a horrible acne flare-up right now and it's so embarrassing! Great to know I'm not the only one and thank you for the great tips :)
I feel your pain. Suffered for years. Dermatologists, diets,no dairy,no gluten, vitamins, washes,so much money spent. Stressing overtime about appearances. Three year journey to clear. You are so brave , beautiful and funny. Loved the out come.
Thank you so much! I wanted to cry a bit when I watched your video. My face has been scaring lately and haven’t known how to handle it. Most UA-camrs that make these videos don’t have actual acne. Maybe they’ll have a dot here or there, but this is so more relatable and helpful. I gotta say as someone who is in the same boat, it’s totally hormonal. So like cleansers and stuff won’t help much. I’ve been taking ashwagandha, doing liver cleansing, and running to help regulate my hormones. Maybe you know about this already, but I figured I could mention it just in case. FYI, Dr Berg in UA-cam has literally been a life saver. Thank you again!
I have struggled with acne (ESPECIALLY upper AND lower back/chest acne, even upper arm acne) since the 8th grade (I'm now a junior in college) so I know the struggle girl. You have such great confidence to post this it amazes me, I wouldn't ever dare to record myself. Ever since I started birth control though, my skin cleared all over, so maybe it was my hormonal acne? (I would break out around my neck and jawline and cheeks, which is usually hormonal). Also, I was never into makeup though so this video absolutely amazed me! This is true talent, I could NEVER do this! I give you such great props, you are beautiful regardless
Thank God for people like you who already have done all of the research for me. This is very helpful video for me not only for acne correction but overall coverage.
This was awesome!! Thank you for being real and representing real life struggles for people suffering with acne and scarring!! I am dealing with the same exact problem and until you have the weight of scars and redness on a daily basis you will never understand it. Great job and thank you for the transparency!!
so impressed with this video!! didn’t know you were so amazing with things other than hair 😂 (sorry don’t usually watch your makeup vids cuz i’m not into makeup) but what you did in this video was talent!!! you still looked very natural I loved it 👏🏼
U have so much confidence to be showing all your followers your acne issues ! Last winter my face was so bad it was everywhere and didn’t even want to leave the house . I never really was able to cover my acne because I didn’t know how but wow you are confident . Very nice 👍
Thank you so much! Thank for adding funniest to it bc some women like myself don't know what to do, and feel insecure about how they look. I try not to cover up bc I'm STILL working on trying to find the right acne/dark spots treatment that would help my skin, even while I'm an adult. I appreciate you for this!
Thank you! I have STRUGGLED with acne. Acne caught me by surprise during my pregnancy and I therefore couldn't use anything like proactive iether. This was very informative. A good option! I normally watch ur curly hair videos, but this was the best one yet;)
I am very impressed with you right now, you just earned quite a bit more respect in my book. You really do have skills when it comes to not only hair but makeup.
I don’t know if you’ll even see this, but I was watching your video and my 3 year old daughter said “mommy she’s beautiful, she’s not ugly, she’s beautiful. I love her lips” when you started color correcting. You’re such a brave, strong woman. I admire the fact that you are willing to be completely “naked” with your followers and be honest. You’re awesome. May God continue to bless your sweet soul girl!
From a once acne prone woman to another I have a few suggestions for your problems. 1st-stop wearing makeup (not forever) but just while you're trying to heal. 2nd- purchase real African soap. Keep in mind it will dry your face and some breakouts will occur but when trying anything your face will always seem worse before getting better. 3rd- use the aloe (like you did in your one week aloe challenge). 4th- depending on your skin type, if it's oily try to use a very light moisturizer and no need to use a lot because your skin has it's own self oil and you don't want it greasy with causes more breakouts. I myself only wash (now that I'm healed) and put shea butter (that I whipped into a moisturizer) only on my dry areas, which are brows, around my nose and lips. This really does work and I hope you try and let me know if it worked.
IM IN LOVE WITH THE WAY U R SOO CONFIDENT ABOUT URSELF !! YOU ARE SOO MUCH AN INSPIRATION FOR ME !! U R BEAUTIFUL .. ND THE WAY U CARRY URSELF MEANS EVERYTHING ND GLAD U PROVED IT!!!! WITH LOVE..!!
This actually helped me a ton!! I have oily skin that cause acne and blackheads. And some dark spots from old breakouts. Im really glad you made this video.
This video just gave me so much more courage to finally go live while applying my makeup. I have breakouts and blemishes. Thank you so much for the push and you look beautiful.
I have seen several of your videos and enjoy them, you have such a great personality. I just caught this video today and while I don’t suffer from acne, we all have insecurities and can relate. I found you to be witty, insightful, and soooo brave that I find that today I must subscribe. Congratulations to you and all the good you do.
Can I just say what an inspiration you are!! Wow! I admire your confidence so much, I suffer from acne as well and watching your videos make me feel like it’s not even a big deal
Hi, I'm a teenage girl with bad acne scars. They're currently healing up, but the full healing process will take so long y'know. I've been browsing youtube for videos of people using good fc foundarions for people who have acne LIKE ME and before I found your video I found nothing. I want to thank you for making this video! I appreciate it a lot and I'm going to use a lot of the products used in this video. Thanks again for being brave and showing your beautiful face for the ones with serious acne!
I loved this video. I am a mid 50s white woman that has never really worn make up except some mascara my whole life. I have always had "good" skin. I am now post menopausal and using hormone replacement...yea I am getting acne! It is the testosterone I am using. So my point is that often acne is hormonally related (not just because you are using make up daily). I am just trying to learn to use make up (on older skin and it has been a challenge to say the least). I have looked at several color correcting videos and yours has been incredibly helpful. I know I will continue to get some acne (and they usually show up like the one you worked so hard to hide, "3D") as I will continue to use testosterone because it has been a life saver for me.
Thanks for this video! I never wear makeup and I’ve had problem skin since I was a teenager. I’m 36 and still have confidence issues as a result. I’ve now decided to do the makeup thing daily because I just can’t take my reflection with these dark spots. I guess some of us just have skin issues and that’s okay, but it’s the response that matters. This video is really a great resource. Thanks a bunch!
I want to say thank you for this video. So many people struggle with this as an adult and it can be embarrassing. I used to work with ladies who thought it funny to refer to me as “proactive” bc they didn’t think I knew it was about me and they were making fun of something I could not control.
Thank you so much for this. I have been wanting to try to do my own make up and cover my acne scars and boost me self esteem up. Not only for me but for my partner as well who’s never seen me with makeup. I did it once years ago for an interview and never tried again bc someone tried to say I had scars bc the makeup. I had to correct her after which she then decided to compliment me. You made it look so simple!

Thank you for this. I've been struggling with acne scars over the past few years and it's annoying. I'm always looking for tips on covering it all up.
Thanks for the video bc it truly is the best I’ve seen so far
Thank you for sharing and helping people with all skin discoloration know they can cover it up, and look their best!
Absolutely beautiful with makeup and no makeup. I love your confidence, you’ve helped me so much! You’re amazing :)
Girl!!!!!!! When I saw this, I was shook. I was like honey nothing is gonna fix that, then you were like, I’m a pro and here we are. You are a GODDDESSSSSSSS
I really appreciate you showing us your true self because acne and acne scars can really get us women down
I applaud you. This is a great video! Love that you are confident and bold and open about it. You are a beauty inside and outside that make up! 😘😘😘😘
Bunny G Liar
We appreciate you ;-)
Love your sense of humour!!!
I feel you when you went uncomfortable zooming in. You’re so strong. I can’t even look at my face in the mirror at times with these acnes!
My god. You are a brave & beautiful queen. This too shall pass love. I'm 45 and my skin sucked till I was 40. Proactive was all that worked for me.
Hi Tammie the doctors of Proactive have sold that business and their new skincare line is Rodan+Fields. Ranked Number. 1 for years 2016-2018. Here is my

Thank you for having the confidence to be transparent!! This is going to help soooo many people
I am in awe of the bravery in putting your face on film when it causes you so much anxiety.
You're so pretty and I love the realness in this video. Thank you so much! 🌹💕💄
😂😂😂😂 “acne’s covered thanks for watching Bianca Ren- “ you’re so funny!
N'Keyma Skeene Lol! With all the green stuff there. 😂
still looking stunning even without makeup❤️ i’m with you girl✊🏼
I used to have those break outs like yours, they never go away and I cleared out with Efflacar... now I have like 2 years without break outs.... that's my holy grail!!! thanks for the make up tips!!
Thank you for your transparency.
Thoroughly enjoyed your tutorial as well as your personality. Thank you.
Omg I’ve never found a tutorial with ACTUAL acne!!! Thank u I’ve been trying so hard to find one ✨✨✨
I to I’m struggling with acne and I appreciate your confidence and boldness to do a video with present acne ! Awesome video great tips!
Some other great hacks:
-Alcohol free Witch hazel as a toner
-Korean sheet face masks ( a company called The Saem is REALLY good)
-Sunscreen (even if you're black like me sunscreen is your face's best friend. Prevents discoloration)
- One Step Original Clear Pad by COSRX (whenever i use this stuff on a fresh pimple at night by the next morning that patch of skin is flat again. Amazing stuff)
Also im not saying any of this stuff is a cure cuz no matter how much i use them i still get bad breakouts every once in a while due to hormones, but they do help lessen them!!
And thank you so much for this tutorial. Helped a lot! ♡♡
Girl I absolutely love how transparent you are
And you’re very pretty and witty too
😘😘😘
I just learned of color correcting today lol and was so confused which color I needed
You helped me out SO much!!
At first I thought the same thing about those colored concealers but now I know what it does. Thanks to you Bianca!
You have such a great personality! THAT's what shines the most, hence, folks won't be noticing the acne!
Girrrrrrl you are pretty with and without makeup
