Because of BigHit i got to know about Morse code. Otherwise i was living under the rock that i didn't knew about morse code. Bighit is really giving us knowledge about many things, they are really educating us.
The KEY to learning code is to NOT to count Dits & Dahs but to listen to the sound of the complete character!!!!! Much like each characters is a complete word....

While I highly appreciate the thought of associating the dits and dahs to letter shapes, and most are apt, I find some of them mismatching. But that's something I can solve on my own. Thanks for suggesting a very useful way of remembering and learning Morse code. Morse code itself, by the way, was one great invention!

Thank you, this is something I always wanted to learn, but never took the time. It just needs practice. And there are no dialects, just 'speak as you would write'. I am hooked now. Came to this video since I purchased an electric/solar power bank for future SUV camping trips, it contains a bright flashlight on one end, I pressed the ON-button a couple of seconds too long....and it started flashing: ... --- ... WHOA! Now I am going to learn a 'new language'. lol
Wow, I have 98% of this down now! I cannot believe I just learned morse code from UA-cam!! This is so cool... Now I just have to work on the rhythm and test my own deciphering skills
I think the proper way to learn morse is by ear. You can not memorize morse visually and expect to copy it in real time. You need to instantly recognize the sound of each character just like speech. There are many tutor programs out there that start with a couple characters and slowly build up as you learn to copy correctly.
Love your instructional vid. It's straight to the point and didn't hang me over somewhere in the video 😍 Most importantly, you gave tip where we should start practicing it 🙏 Thank you!
Thank you! That is exactly the way I learn. I'm going to search for something with that method, but that adds letter by letter in the Kotch method with the Farnsworth spacing. Best regards!
*Story time* So, I am somebody who believes in horoscopes and today mine (as a cancerian) said “You wouldn’t reach your hand in a boiling pot of water to reach a spoon you dropped, right? You should do the exact thing if you want to help someone, be cautious and you’ll stay safe.” My friend that I haven’t seen in eight years is coming over soooo, I am learning Morse code to make sure he ain’t asking for some help or 🆘, and I might say that because my fam likes to argue a lot so, I had anxiety because of that (Thanks mom, thanks dad) and might ask for that for some moral support 😂👌
Don't forget by actually sending and receiving; try morsecode.me. You might see me on there sometimes. Just key in "FLU?" and I'll respond "HERE" if I'm there. Cya there!
i was planning on starting flashlight code with my neighbor, so we can talk at night with the window and flashlight. would Morse code be a good way to do that?
There is something elegant about morse code , as its not unlike binary code that is used in a multitude of programming and or comunications. On a side note i learned morse code from my grandfather he used to work as train dispatcher before the war and was in the resistance during the war , and he acuired some of telegraph keys . one of is in a museum the other two are still in the family . And i can say if you ever operated one of these old scool telegraph keys you know what i mean , it has a verry specific feel to them . Something no keyboard , or replica can mimick.

😂😂😂 yep
Yes had to figure it out it was apparently "Dreaming"
I think the proper way to learn morse is by ear. You can not memorize morse visually and expect to copy it in real time. You need to instantly recognize the sound of each character just like speech. There are many tutor programs out there that start with a couple characters and slowly build up as you learn to copy correctly.
Love your instructional vid. It's straight to the point and didn't hang me over somewhere in the video 😍 Most importantly, you gave tip where we should start practicing it 🙏 Thank you!

My classmate wondering why I want to marry his oven:
The reason I wanna learn Morse code is because I feel like it's a 2nd version of sign language but with only beeps, so thats why I wanna learn
my friend: *keeps tapping his hand on the table*
me: *scared because he is going to call our strict teacher a boomer*
Thank you! That is exactly the way I learn. I'm going to search for something with that method, but that adds letter by letter in the Kotch method with the Farnsworth spacing. Best regards!

*Story time*
So, I am somebody who believes in horoscopes and today mine (as a cancerian) said “You wouldn’t reach your hand in a boiling pot of water to reach a spoon you dropped, right? You should do the exact thing if you want to help someone, be cautious and you’ll stay safe.”
My friend that I haven’t seen in eight years is coming over soooo, I am learning Morse code to make sure he ain’t asking for some help or 🆘, and I might say that because my fam likes to argue a lot so, I had anxiety because of that (Thanks mom, thanks dad) and might ask for that for some moral support 😂👌
Who else is here after TXT's outro?
Me lolll

WHY DID EVERYONE COME FROM TXT
My friend:*casually taps pencil on table*

The best to learn is always association
Don't forget by actually sending and receiving; try morsecode.me. You might see me on there sometimes. Just key in "FLU?" and I'll respond "HERE" if I'm there. Cya there!
TXT brought me here
Me too 😂

There is something elegant about morse code , as its not unlike binary code that is used in a multitude of programming and or comunications.
On a side note i learned morse code from my grandfather he used to work as train dispatcher before the war and was in the resistance during the war , and he acuired some of telegraph keys . one of is in a museum the other two are still in the family .
And i can say if you ever operated one of these old scool telegraph keys you know what i mean , it has a verry specific feel to them . Something no keyboard , or replica can mimick.
"O" became a life saver, and "Y" became Japanese.
