For the money, the interior is bland
Usually it isn’t a huge deal but I agree for 300k+ they definitely could have done something more unique
So in your mind. The interior is more important than this Mustangs 800 + purpose built racing engine. It's capablity of hitting 200 mph. World class active aero with a world class suspension. A Supercar with weigh well below most production cars that's likely close to 2200 lbs or even less. And your only comment is regarding the interior. I'm really curious what type of vehicle you drive because it's obvious you know nothing about what's important on a Supercar.

Markup? There won't be ANY markup I'm sure you are asking why. Because the allocation for a car belongs to the customer NOT the dealer. Ford dealers are getting $15k to do the paperwork. If a customer picks a dealer to finish the transaction, and they decided to add an ADM, the customer can just call his concierge, and switch it to another dealer who won't do it. Remember, there were 1,350 Ford GTs delivered and ZERO had a markup. Same thing here.

@@mikeburley7288 That's why Baskin Robbins makes 31 flavors. I'd take this, a street legal GT3 LeMans race car over a Huracan Evo anyday. Plus at the end of the day, this will always hold more value over one of those as well (as there will be 2,000 cars built IIRC).
@06VistaBlueGT1 Agreed. To each their own! 👍. I own a ZL1, and love the handling it has as well as how easy it is to get 200, 300, 400 more hp/tq out of it with mods/builds. While I like all muscle cars, I'd never buy foreign supercars(lambo, Ferrari, etc.). Can appreciate Ford at LEAST keeping the Mustang alive👌👍...unlike the idiots in charge of GM...🙄😖🤬. Could have kept building variations of the Camaro, but chose to protect their baby instead(Corvette)🤢🤮

I'm being straight honest no jokes. I've owned four Mustangs and I looove Mustang only car I've driven for 20 years now daily. Even if I had the money I wouldn't even want the car purely because of the carelessness Ford put into designing the cluster screen into the dash. They literally destroyed decades of beautiful Mustang dashboard layouts generation after generation to replace it with some cheap glued on ipad looking screens just because everyone else is doing it for a cheap buck. Especially this specific car the GTD for this amount of money it's inexcusable to ignore that. Saleen recently released their cars and they had to bust their butts to try and make the dashboard look decent because Ford gave it the middle finger in budget and design. No thank you. The rest of the car is amazing, but the interior will forever be a thorn in this 7th generation forever.

Just because a lot of cars are doing it, this specific Mustang is not like most cars. 99% of cars are not built with carbon fiber, cost over $100k and have a giant spoiler hanging off the back pillar. There is zero reason Ford could not have put actual effort into the dash and make it special for a special car. The dash in this expensive car will age as poorly as every other trash vehicle with these glued on screens will and there are no ifs ands or buts about it. It's dumb.
@@karag6556 again, it does not matter what the cost of a vehicle is or if it's made with carbon fiber. Not sure what that logic has to do with it but all vehicles are going to that type of screen, $20,000. $70,000 or $150,000 at some point, they will go with that type of screen.

I like it, but for that kinda money I wish the interior was a little less "Mustang." It just doesn't feel special enough, to me. Exterior is a different story, interior should match that level of execution. IMO.

No doubt that the Mustang GTD will perform amazingly. But I am shocked that Ford wants $325K for the car is crazy!!! How does the cost even get to $240K? If I was gonna spend $325 on a car I would be buying a Ferrari‼️

I'm fairly certain this car can run over any Ferarri you can buy at that price point on the track.
You aren't buying any new Ferrari for $325k unless you want the Roma. Definitely won't be touching a built to spec brand new 296 GTB for that price. This car, for what it is, and represents and who builds it (Multimatic Motorsports in Markham Ontario Canada) is a bargain.

It’s crucial that they keep this a limited edition to maintain its value-has Ford announced how many they plan to produce? That would make a big difference.
Also curious to see how this stacks up against the upcoming ZR1 from Corvette. If the rumors are true and it's coming with 200 more horsepower, we could have a serious showdown on our hands. Would be great to see a head-to-head comparison between these two monsters!

Worth it is relative. This is a road legal GT3 spec race car. It's nothing like a stock Mustang. Not many have done this. This car will be worth 3 times this and more if Ford really limit the production numbers like they say. To you and I maybe not but there are enough enthusiasts to make this actually increase in value. This is the 2025 'Eleanor'

Once all the "Hoopla" is gone, I can't wait to see it vs. a Ford GT, (as current year as is possible). 'Probably VERY similar to the 2025 GT Mustang GTD but Dearborn is probably holding back on that for suspicious reasons. (i.e. "It may overshadow the GT in all areas and is a ga-zillion dollars less...but with a different body). I have to have this car, but can anybody tell me on how to "work" a "Gofundme" page? P.S. It’s without a doubt going to be interesting to see what this beast can do. It looks badass, I can’t deny that one. As for the price, yes it is up there, but given that it’s going to compete with the Porsche GT3RS, it might be worth it to some. Not all, though, and I get why. Looking forward to seeing how this Mustang performs.

Honestly, i was expecting the same seats out of the new Focus ST edition from Europe. Atleast a new recaro seat design instead of the same ones they've used since the GT350 and GT500.
