Another thing I absolutely *adore* about kneaded erasers, is how gentle they are to the paper. Unlike virtually every other eraser in existence, they don't change the paper's surface. There will always be a slight difference when you use a regular eraser, because of friction. But there's no real friction when it's a kneaded eraser, especially if you just dab the graphite (or coal) away. It is a *lifesaver* when sketching, I love mine to bits.
I remember these from elementary school, they left a mess on your hands when they got really dirty and when they dry out they no longer fold after some time
This video sure was kneaded! Thanks for the upload Ms Leslie! Edit: and by the way, idk why mine is so sticky, i got it at 5 below with a colored pencil set
I also have kneaded eraser but whenever I use it, it becomes so sticky and also leaves residue on my fingers. Can you please tell me what can I do with it
I have noticed that some brands (or generic ones) are just terrible. They are too hard, brittle or sticky and there isn’t much you can do with them. A little stickiness is normal at first and should improve after you use it a bit. But try to buy one from an art manufacturer.
We used to get these at bookfairs in school that were in book shaped or suitcase shaped containers. I absolutely loved them for everything, especially the scented ones. I'm sure they still sell them in some places i just graduated and haven't seen my siblings with them lol
You can also make a diy kneaded eraser, here's how : First get post it notes and a normal/old eraser. Erase the eraser on the sticky part of post it notes. If you want to make it's size as normal kneaded erasers, then you're gonna need alot of post it notes ( I've made a small one like a little smaller than the one you showed you use to erase charcoal, and it took 40-45 post it notes) And you can also use tape if you don't have post it notes. Sorry for big comment, also hope this helps
THANK YOU SO MUCH I have kneaded eraser but I thought it was an normal one and when i saw I was soooo happy!. I was also happy cause I’ve always wanted one of these, lol.
So i bought a kneaded earaser from Faber castle It is blue , is that fake And btw will the earaser dry if i leave it out of the box Mine came in a small box then wrapped in plastic
In my experience you should have a pretty air tight container for the eraser, my first one I kept in the paper covering it came with and it dried up into an unuseable rock. Not nice. I put my new one in a kinder surprise egg and it's stayed perfect 👌
I think some brands are more prone to drying out, and I’m not sure why. Maybe they add something besides the rubber during manufacturing. I’ve had the occasional one that gets hard and unusable, but they are usually from a non-brand source.
My cousins love my kneaded eraser, just because of the fact it’s moldable. They like to call it a slime eraser, cause it reminds them of slime I guess.
You would make a great ASMR content creator if you're an artist. I could fall asleep to your voice and hearing pencil marking up paper would be amazing.
You can also make them at home by yourself without wasting money, but also, this is gonna waste probably an hour of your time. All you need is an eraser or sticky notes, and then rub the eraser on the sticky part of a sticky note, and then gather them together and I need it together and then you’ll have something like that. If you want an even bigger portion, you can just do that all over again. Hope this helps.
Could you explain how to clean em my kneadable eraser that my friend gave me is dirty af and i tried using water, soap and even hot water eith soap but it doesnt clean
just rub 2 erasers together to make scraps of eraser then Knead the scraps by rolling it like dough or use a ruler to roll it too till they become whats in the video
They work, just not quite as well in my opinion. I’ve had students really work to get them to be more malleable and look almost like the kneaded erasers. 😊
Thanks for telling us these things about kneaded erasers, your tips always helps a lot,
Have a good day Leslie ✨
You’re welcome, Priya. Have a lovely day yourself. ❤

They really are great. And fun to play with too. 😊
I remember these from elementary school, they left a mess on your hands when they got really dirty and when they dry out they no longer fold after some time
i used to buy the white ones and color them
You can wash them when they get too dirty. 😊
They're also brilliant fidget toys for when ur procrastinating on a drawing.......it honestly very relaxing to play with
Completely! 🤗
I just got one... Now I'm not sure if it was a good idea since I spend 50 percent of the time playing with it instead of drawing😭
The kneaded Imposter
😅😂

Sometimes cheap (no brand) ones are not very good. They can be too hard or sticky. It’s best to try to get one from a known art manufacturer.
@@LeslieStroz Thanks a lot Ms Leslie stroz!
✨yuck.✨
Thank you for the information, now I can upgrade my eraser collection!
😊❤
Your channel is so inspiring, as an artist in artist block now I want to draw
That brings me so much joy. ❤
Something I learned many years ago. When using a needed eraser is to swipe it one direction to remove pencil. It works faster and better.
Oh no! Now I'm kicking myself for throwing away my dirty ones! 😄 Thank you for explaining this!
That yucky eraser looked so tasty haha 😅 I want cookies now
I also have kneaded eraser but whenever I use it, it becomes so sticky and also leaves residue on my fingers. Can you please tell me what can I do with it

Im first! Ty for telling the fake one ❤ also-....
Can u reply to me if u can im a big fan or ursssss ❤❤
The fake one was such a shock to me when I first moved to England. I bought a box of the regular ones and gave them to all of my students. 😅
@@LeslieStroz ohh that must be quite a bummer- buying something and it ends up working like crap!
It once happened to me but with acrylics
@@DazedEcstacy It’s bound to happen, I suppose, but sometimes you discover hidden gems by buying different things. 😊
We used to get these at bookfairs in school that were in book shaped or suitcase shaped containers. I absolutely loved them for everything, especially the scented ones. I'm sure they still sell them in some places i just graduated and haven't seen my siblings with them lol
I’ve never had a scented one! Now I’m on the hunt for one. 😅

No that is Not fake but the colored ones are actually for school and just for fun and the same like the grey ones😉
It’s legit! 😊 And no, it won’t dry out if you don’t store it, but it will collect dust.
@@LeslieStroz okkii
Oh so its supposed to be like stiffish?
thnku mam for the details

Does anyone make slime out of them ?😂
One of my friends bought a bunch of these and used them like clay, molding heads that resembled our teachers 🤣
They are great for that! 😊
I love this video! Idk if it’s only me, but why do I feel like mines much stretcher? (Not showing off I swear just pointing out something)❤
Heyy I love you videos!! And you are also very nice and I just wanted to ask that can a beginner artist or new artist use it??😅❤
You can also make them: knead eraser crumbs together! If you need help with it, you can find tutorials on how to make them AND stick together!
I once bought the imposter but I somehow managed to fix it by mixing it with clay another kneaded eraser and some lotion.
Got my first ones yesterday and figured them out immediately! Though I did have to watch a tutorial for when I inevitably have to clean them.
I ordered the Faber Castell blue yellow and pink!
Edit: I can't get the grey ones there to expensive so yeah 1k, in rupees
omg i never knew they didn't leave residue. i felt too guilty about making a mess so i never sketched anywhere i couldn't blow off the excess
My cousins love my kneaded eraser, just because of the fact it’s moldable. They like to call it a slime eraser, cause it reminds them of slime I guess.
Thank you for telling me this. I have a charcoal drawing kit with this eraser by faber castell
You would make a great ASMR content creator if you're an artist. I could fall asleep to your voice and hearing pencil marking up paper would be amazing.
I used to use blue tack lmaoooo
Blue sticky tack? Lol
It will sort of work, but it’s made from a different material and can leave oil stains.
(Please pin)
DON’T BUY THE PRISMACOLOR NEEDED ERASER IT IS WAY TO HARD I CAN BARLY KNEED IT
Do they dry out? I’m a young artist and I’m very new to kneaded erasers and I want to know how to keep the squishiness of them!
Im thinking of getting a pen with this rubber that rubbs the PLACK PEN MARK OFF!
What if they are hard and absolutely won’t mold?
I want one I'm just kidding I already have one😊😊😊
They look like their practical use is amazing but an eraser that's like a dough sounds disgusting tbf.
Tutorial: use the eraser some scratch:2mix the eraser to Into clay :3tap the color :done!!
You can also make them at home by yourself without wasting money, but also, this is gonna waste probably an hour of your time. Sadly, I kind of messed my needed a restaurant because I washed it twice because I accidentally dropped it😅
Whatever you do, don't put it in your pocket! I forgot and it was a mess in the washing machine 😭 they're the best tho.
Why does UA-cam never stop making me hungry
Hello! Im going to buy kneaded erasers today because i have trouble with the normal erasers😅
So its basically a clay mixed with eraser rubber?
Could you explain how to clean em my kneadable eraser that my friend gave me is dirty af and i tried using water, soap and even hot water eith soap but it doesnt clean
Harusnya dulu,yg ujian pake pensil 2B,penghapusnya pake ini aja 😭
Ok I bought 4 faber castell kneadable erasers and it’s not erasing how do I fix it
When I got one, I tried pulling it and it was hard like a rock
Bro why to buy kneaded erase if u can make them yes! Just a little eraser waist and mix them and use penciled graphite to stick them together simple
STOP WAIT I HAD THESE I DIDNT KNOW WHAT THEY WERE
Try get the one that has a box, there colorful and they won't harden up like clay bc of of the non airhole box.
Did you know that bungee gum has the properties of both rubber and gum?
just rub 2 erasers together to make scraps of eraser then Knead the scraps by rolling it like dough or use a ruler to roll it too till they become whats in the video
Faber castell are more easy to find so my favorite 😏😏🤷♀️🤦♀️😁..truly they're great 👍
Never thought about making little friends 😳🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👍😘❤
Little friends are always nice to have 😊
lol I make these when I finish the exam and have nothing to do
If I bought it to school my friends would probably steal all of it😂
i was too scared to use my kneaded eraser and it’s just been sitting in the packaging for probably a year now…
Can u show me more pls? Like draw something and erase it all? So I can see it a little more pls?
So it has a properties of a rubber and a gum -bungee gum- thanks for reminding.
I just unwrapped my mont marte kneadable eraser but it's too hard to mould totally wasted my money
I wanted them so bad
I saw many videos to make that at home
I tried but i always failed
Now i just use small erasers
I love ur videos❤
I bought one and it’s hard as a rock.
When I got my first one in a pencil set I thought it was blue tack LOL
Wow i surely try it
Interesting video but when she mentioned the imposter one it is not a fake version it is just a bad quality Version
I got generals One today at hobby lobby
The faber castell makes colored kneaded erasers and thos are no really strong in erasing not like the solidity but it works bad for me 😅
Flips I accidentally pushed go
You can use by rolling it over the area to soften the pencil marks
Thank God i just ordered it now i know that they can be cleaned and the one i ordered is not the imposter 🎉
I WANT IT (reason: same like clay)
Lets just take some time and appreciate that she hearted and replied to every single comment
You can make it an home with a eraser rough rough does come out for the from the eraser and you can on play aur drawing
Tip: You don’t have to buy it you can use blue tack at home! 😊
I did not know they could be washed. Thank you.
Been using these since I turned 14
I made a red one lol (with normal rubber you can find tutorials)
how do you store them after opening? I have one from years ago, idk if it's still usable 😅
nevermind! I just found your video about exact this 😂😂 Ty! ua-cam.com/users/shortsgzMflaIOALI?feature=share
I have a video about that. 😊
eraser flavored chewing gum
Ik i said this late😂😅 but how to make ur kneaded erasers soft?
Yes bro i made it as a pen!s
Dum question but can you chew it like gum
They’re a bit griddy 😂
They don't get dry right
Or, how I call it, life form that I will destroy :D
The eraser:HELP ME IM IN SOMEONES MOUTH
Does it dry when you leave it????
I have one.😂😂😂😂 It's time school.
Did you know that you can make it by hand is not waste of money
Made this unintentionally in class
Bro mine is covered in wax what 💀
Wait kneaded erasers can be washed with water?
Does it work on me?
Aaaaah I bought a putty eraser thinking it was the kneaded one 😭😭 now I need to go and buy an actual kneaded eraser
Wasted my money for nothing 😭
They work, just not quite as well in my opinion. I’ve had students really work to get them to be more malleable and look almost like the kneaded erasers. 😊
Are they meant to stretch? I got one and it doesn't.
So it's just erasable clay
Do you know where to get these like at any art stores?
It doesn't erase too well though
