Yes, it can get confusing. It helps to turn the tile each time you draw a line.

Hi Tracy Anne. This is off topic-I love the gray paradox by the way. My question is do you have any suggestions for displaying Zentangle tiles? I have an album with plastic sheets with pockets to put the tiles in but they are never seen. I want to display them but I need some ideas. Help!!
One thing you can do is to turn them into tiny books like I did in my video

Another thing I learnt from my CZT training is that you can display them in a journal by using the corners that you usually use to display photos. These corners just stick onto your journal page and the tile can sit inside them. The great thing about this idea is that you can change your tiles around whenever you want.
I suppose these ideas are similar to the books you already use.
I found a photo frame that has spaces for lots of photos which I used to display some of my tiles. The mat was cut so that it could display 9 square photos. The tiles fit almost exactly. The spaces were slightly bigger than my tiles so I coloured the background in black and you can hardly notice.
Are you in my Facebook group? If you are, post the same question in there and I can post some photos of ideas plus the members in there might have some other good ideas.

Thank you for your kind comments Gwen! I haven’t used a fixative on my bookmark but I suppose it would be a good idea to use some before use.
Hi Gwen, I ended up laminating my bookmarks. It stops the charcoal pencil from fading as well as forming a durable and protective coating.
Some years ago, I bought a pack of bookmark covers made from transparent plastic. I learned that the shop doesn't exist today.
What a shame, they sound like a great idea. I either spray them with fixative or laminate them.
When you use the chalk pencil, do you then spray fixative to keep it from smearing?
I didn’t use a fixative Barbara but it might be a good idea to spray the bookmark with one before using it. Another thing you could do is laminate the bookmark.
I have to work at keeping my strokes at an equal distance. Not too close and not too far.
It is tricky!
