We almost got one on the Atari Jaguar and officially endorsed by Hudson Soft, as it was being developed by a North American developer (Genetic Fantasia), but Atari being almost dead as a dodo by 1996 meant that a lot of projects under development for the system had to be killed (Bomberman Legends [a.k.a. Jaguar Bomberman] included). I, however, do hope that their original creators release the .ROM online, as it was found 3-4 years ago ^_^ But god only knows when it will happen...Good video by the way NC :D
@@KGRAMR Wow. No kidding? I'd love to have seen Bomberman on the Jaguar. I had no idea that they were working on one, but I'd love to see that beta if they ever see fit to post it online. And thanks!
Atomic Punk is the first foray for Bomberman on the NeoGeo Real Arcade System. It could be acquired, and played at home. In my opinion, its the best, because this era had washed put colors and kinda meek gameplay. You got self setup a lot more on older versions. Plus, I'm in the camp the animations are better from the earliest examples. Still, this is an awesome installment, it had many innovations and is fun on later levels.
I can do MK 1 and 2 this way. I have only beat 3 this way once, so I don't count it just yet, until I can beat the fullest(most difficult) ladder in one go consistently. Working on it, it'll happen.
This one definitely has some good points, but there are better versions in the snes, genesis and Sega Saturn; The latter one is the best, in my opinion.
@@NintendoComplete The multiplayer is obviously... Hands down one of the best ever made for Bomberman standards. And the campaign has a really cool variety mixed on it. Hell we even got a Segata Sanshiro ad for Bomberman (Altough I think it was made for the other Sat Bomberman that wasn't that good). No wonders why it is so sought after, next to the SFC's Bombermans.

No kidding, the graphics and animations look very similar to the first Super Bomberman on SNES. Even the later SB games looked quite different from the first one but Neo Bomberman went back to this style for some reason. After the gorgeous Saturn Bomberman this doesn't really feel like arcade quality.
Not the best Bomberman in my opinion (The OST is truly one of the worst I ever listened to, samples of maximum like 10 seconds looping and looping gets truly annoying). This game was awfully popular here in Mexico and possibly more Latam countries, I have never seen why. Especially considering many of those persons refuse to play another Bomberman that is not Neo Bomberman... Yeah, makes no sense. Fun trivia: Upon starting the Neo Geo with the game inserted, its default language setting is Spanish and hey, most of the people i've known at Venezuela (including my mom of all people!) love Bomberman :)
I have seen rumors that this bomberman was actually made in Spain? Who knows, because is really something curious. Here in Mexico everyone is so cancerous to play videogames to be honest xD Nice to see the game was recognized even on Venezuela, ¡Saludos!

@@KGRAMR Emulators used to start with European region on Neo Geo games. Normally, this wasn't a problem, as the games were in English and some games even let you change the language in the settings. However, on Neo Bomberman the game plays in Spanish when the region is set to Europe or Asia. The only way to play the game in English is to change the region to USA, because you can't change the language in the settings. This serves as more evidence that the game was rushed to release, along with all of the unused content in the game.
Taking a break from Contra? Can't say I blame you. Mere mortals can handle only so much manliness in a week. Shattered Soldier was probably the epitome of the series anyway, up until Rebirth. Blowing away your enemies is so much fun when you time your explosions correctly, regardless of which version you're playing. ...I don't imagine the poor Bombers are very popular at the airport though.
Back in the 90s, Bomberman really got around, didn't he? And thankfully, not even the mighty Neo Geo was spared!

Hey NintendoComplete can you play Bomberman 64 and Bomberman 64 the Second Attack.
Well, it looks like the Bomberman's Intellectual Property now belong to Konami after they acquired Hudson Soft.

Best bomberman I ever played in my entire arcade life.
Love the nice animation change when you go through the Gate while riding something.
The only arcade game i can finish with one coin.
Hope you can watch my playthrough of this game. I finished neobomberman under 40 mins without using cheats, tas, and deaths.

Neo Bombastic! Amazing vid.
I wish the arcades I've been to had this game. If I played this as a kid, I would've had my mind blown.
I love to see that you actually make a mistake here and there, a real human playing :-)

I have no idea why the music is hella muffled doe, also the pre-rendered graphics? Hmm... Idk only some things actually look pre-rendered.

the black bomberman in the images after u complete a zone has white legs and arms instead of the other skin color
Como le hago para jugarlo de nuevo???????😢😢
The music tracks are quite short and have some looping problems.
this bomberman game for the neo geo
sounds more like a 1990s arcade game came from kaneko or sammy
playing this on MAME with cheats makes me realize how repetitive the music is. still love it and the game
Anyone knows where or how can i get this game?:( I would play at an arcade place when I was 8 or 7
Nvm guys i got it :D

How YOU GOT THIS GAME!?
To be honest, the graphics look kinda basic for a neo geo game, especially one released in 1997.

That's not necessarily a bad thing. The game still looks VERY charming for a Bomberman game. 😊😁
