Fantastic! Took me a while to get around to it as I wanted to see it on the "big screen." That ferry is super-impressive -- as is all the scenery. I may never get to NZ but at least I get a glimpse of it! Thanks for doing this. Cheers! R
Stunning scenery, loved the tour. I've been to NZ a couple of times and it truly is beautiful and you had a great weather. Pity you had to have some our smoke come your way. That last record dig looked like the usual rubbish that I look through.
Been waiting to savour this one, James, to drink in the scenery. Haven't spent long enough in that part of NZ (was last up that way in 2011, French Pass for my Sisters wedding). Missed getting a mussel pie and even stopping at Havelock :( Hahaha, the centre of NZ is not really the centre of NZ? Like Tali says, that is pretty NZ. Would love to get up to Motueka and Abel Tasman national park, it all looked stunning. That rock really was a split apple! How busy was it out on the walking track at that time of year? What was the music around the 17min mark? Would also love to get to Westport and Punakaiki. Gorgeous sunset to wind up '19. Amazing and sad that smoke has affected your air quality. Thank you James, you live in an incredible part of the world. Cheers- Dean
Hey Dean! We almost considered a turn off to French Pass, sounds like we should have made the trip. Weirdly it was super quiet all around, I guess being around NY time most people are back home and with families!
@@ButteryDigs thank you James, something to consider if we want to escape family one christmas :) French Pass is as beautiful as any other place you went to, but the drive in is one of THE most hair-raising ones I've ever done, anywhere. Still recommend though!
The South Island is God’s country, easily the most beautiful place in the world Jamesy And I say this as someone who has toured Ireland and Scotland etc extensively. Thanks for sharing this (is it not called “Abel” Tasman, as in the Dutch explorer)?
I could feel the ghost of Charles Monro.
Love “switch on Bach”

Beautiful bit like Scotland
Wow! Thumbs up!
Why is it Able Tasman? Isn’t it Abel Tasman?
Jah Shaka - "Commandments Of Dub" nice dig! Such a beauty of a country you live in man. The Buller River looks like a fine fishing spot. Eels!
