yeah this scene was hard to watch in the anime I had to turn away. Ash's life is such a tragedy I just wish everybody would leave him alone and let him be with his loved ones.
Even if I know that Ash is dead in the manga, I am still hoping that there is a chance for anime second season since the ending is open-ended. I am willing to wait no matter how long it takes. I hope that Ash and Eiji will enjoy the rest of their lives in Japan.
