Mine shoots from under cowling but I also how the same part on mine that the guy has where his water is shooting out of. Should mine shoot from under cowling or thr the area his is?
I have a 4hp yamaha, but i can't get water out the hole under the cowling, it's putting water out through the exhaust ok, i was just wondering if that was normal.
Same model as mine. It doesn't have a tell tale. It's loosing it's (warm) cooling water straight back into the shaft. Thought I had a problem with mine, that it was clogged , but it's perfectly normal.

Depends - some have a Tell tale. Others don't and only have an exhaust exit.

I know this is an old video, but if you do have the motor still, that idle is way too high! You can back it off a lot.
