I love the Lyrics, the Alex solos, the rhythm guitar.
I listen this album since came out. I'm 55 and I
love it.
Same here at 53
My favorite TESTAMENT album 🤘
Hard to choose the best album man...

🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@xtremeunderratedmusic Very difficult, there doesn't have to be a favourite, we have all their great albums!
Hell yeahh
My top 5 Testament albums:
1. The Legacy
2. The Ritual
3. Souls of Black
4. The New Order
5. Practice what You Preach
Cheers from Bolivia, Southamerica
Testament has The big 4 combined in one.
Their sound is totally different, but kicks ass like hell.
The drummer is definitely behind the wheel!
Totally amazing Testament album.
I absolutely loved this album as a teenager and still do as an old man. the drums are so killer. lyrics. riffs. fuck I love this band
An oldie, but a goodie.
The solo of "Practice What You Preach" is one of the best in rock, nevermind thrash of subgenres. Period. I think is the 100th time I declare that Chuck Billy's voice is like an upgrade on Hetfield's with a mix of power, growl and melody that is not easy to find in any band (thrash or otherwise)
Hetfield is a joke all around!!! Have you seen his impression of symphony of destruction??? Looked and sounded like a damned fool xD xD xD
@@codyspear1263I know!! As I grow older, looking 36 years back, some musicians seem smarter than I thought (Mustaine, Billy, Skolnick) and others very dumb and superficial (Hetfield, Ulrich).
I can sit down and listen to Chuck (recommend you his lockdown I tervuew with Rob Flynn NFR) for ages, or Mustaine, Bill Ward, so many... but Metallica are so boring...
Chuck is my all time fave metal vocalist and I listen to all sorts of bands. He can do it all.
Alex Skolnick, and Eric Peterson wrote some of the most killer riffs in metal!!! Never mind the fact that Skolnick was on another level of playing than most other guitarist from that era. Chuck Billy’s vocals speak for themselves!!!
@joe george - I was fortunate enough to grow up in the 80’s, (I’m 55 now) and I’ve seen almost every band from that era. Testament was one of my favorites from the “Big 4”. They sounded just like the album live.
Cool! One of the most respected thrash bands by me. 👍👍👍🤟🤟🤟🍺🍺🎸🎸
One of the most underrated thrash metal bands in history.
Nah, they are highly rated and considered among the best of thrash. Don't try to compare them to mega-sellers Metallica
Now even Testament albums are underrated? What about albums like Devastation "Idolatry" They're overrated nowadays?
@@jamesirbensonmum9548 Damn man, I love the Idolatry album. Haven't heard that mentioned in a while. I gotta go crank that now, way to remind me lol
@@charlieboudreau5172 yeah, that album is a banger and a bit overlooked even back then. I considered it as Sepultura nephew (Beneath The Remains era) Discovered them together in the old record shop judging albums only by the albumart...
@@jamesirbensonmum9548 Bwahaha I remember those days of not knowing and buying something based on the artwork. Kids these days don't know our struggles lol
seriously 1989 WTF -Rocks just as hard in 2022 & i agree with others the most underrated & my fav. at the time -well in the 90s
When I was a teenager, I use to write this album off as another mid-80s thrash cd. Listening to it in my 30s. I wish I wasn't so stupid as a kid.
Sins of omission para mí es una de las mejores canciones de Testamento y del rock en general
❤muzyka 🎶 wasza ach 👌 okey to jest 💯
Great album yeah.
Agree..with a great artwork too...
This album had a really nice sound quality for when it was realeased also very heavy and intricate guitars.
Practice what you preach was released on this day 8/4/89. \M/
Bought this CD on the day it came out when i was in the Air Force at Peterson AFB, CO. Blasted this with monsterous Cerwin Vega speakers with my Sansui rack system. Me and a few friends, it was a mini-headbanging party! I still bplay this CD on a regular basis. Testament rules!
Legendary
it's like listening to Megadeth with Hetfield as a guest vocal.
all songs are pure thrash masterpieces
envy Life my favorite song but an awesome album none the less testament are awesome 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I think their best album..i had this in cassette version 🔥
I got the Vinyl!! Was my First Testament.. I Love The Bassgitarre on this Album
envy life opening vocals, i didnt know he had those in 89 lol 🤘
In 1990 I saw Testament (Practice What You Preach) and Suicidal Tendencies (lights camera revolution) there was a band that opened but I can't remember who but then Testament came out and then Suicidal Tendencies closed it out. It a very small venue here in Colorado springs too. They were having dime beer night.
Cant believe that didn't devolve into a riot
Does this album remind me I'm old? NOT EVEN CLOSE! Proud to be a founding father of the thrasher movement!!!
Makes me feel like a teenager again lol
Tremendo disco igual que el 1o y 2o.

In 1989 I enjoyed both this album and the one by Enuff 'Z Nuff, Danger Danger, Rock City Angel and so on.You might say I was a poser, but I just loved something heavy and melodious. All these bands have something in common. I still enjoy them.
Poser? No way. Sounds like someone who knows his stuff.
If you listen to enuff znuff,, you're a POSER !..... Sorry 🤘🏼👊🏼🤘🏼

The music flowed through Mike like electricity as Eddy's guitar filled his ears. The house was packed and the crowd was going wild as Corroded Coffin's new lead singer belted out the lyrics. Mike Wheeler, lead singer of one of 1989's most iconic thrash bands, was now living a dream he never imagined would come true.
Solo era fanático de las bandas del metal clásico. Nunca faltan esos amigos que te enseñan nuevas bandas y discos. /m/

Love this album. I saw Testament support Anthrax on their among the living tour in late 87 and became an instant fan.
I think this album shows a little Anthrax influence if only in the lyrics, which are less Satan and more philosophical - a good thing, as the only thing that lets down the first two albums for me are some of the somewhat cut n paste "evil" subject matters for the songs
thanks for the upload
chuck Billy...the singer Anthrax should have had! best primal growl in the biz!
Incredible how their last 3 or 4 lps sounds so much more convinced aggressive etc compared to their old ones when they were much younger
Also better production on "recent" albums so you can hear the guitars more clearly. Alex Perialis (the producer here) usually has a 'smushy' guitar production. And like many producers, he emphasizes drums and vocals. :P
Wish they would remaster 1st 4 albums
No way...the feeling will be destroyed.
Lol another cassette i wore the label off i had a stack of white tapes lmao ya know can you see what it did to me
hahaha...Testament rules

Primeira música se parece com o Metallica. A segunda já me lembra o Megadeth.
Mas curti demais a batera!!
This was always one of my favorite Metallica albums.
Say what mofo???😢This is SEPULTURA !!

well if this is 1989 this is before the black album with metallica right?
It's Chuck billy on vocals dude...not james hetfield...
@@xtremeunderratedmusic i know thats right its chuck billy thats why i ask because black album came in 1991 - and could metallica copy their style? its a question.. or its one way around
I’m so confused about why you’re asking this. The Black album sounds nothing like this, it’s not even a thrash album
just over 2 years before- testament: 4 august 89 and 12 august 91 for metallica
I think what you're trying to say is that this could've been Metallica in 89 if they released an album that year?
Chingones..!!
Yeah these guys write their own stuff and don’t copy all kinds of bands they hold their own not sellouts 🐁
A shame the quality of the recording isn't stellar...
My favorite thrash metal band! No Metallica, no Salyer, no Megadeth, no Anthrax, no Overkill, no Exudos, or no other band. To me TESTAMENT RULES THRASH METAL SCENE BY FAR.
Best guitar duo in thrash imo
I think they transcended the genre. Survived the 90s with "The gathering". Testament is testament. Yes, part of the Bay Area scene, but they are a unique combination of musicians. And now with Lombardo again... salivating already
Testament are the no 1 trash band ever
I'm with ya but you gotta give Savatage their due too
Give me a damn break
Like if you think it's the best album or it's underrated
(since they write the same on all albums anyway)🤭
Love Testament but #4 "Time is Coming" is the only one that Sucks..
You must be the other Miley Cyrus fan please go listen to your R&B b******* and leave us metalheads alone!!🤘🤘🤘
@@SeaSun_-mu8mi lol I love Time is Coming but hey I also love midget circus porn so ;)
ptcs2pls xds
It's a shame the kick drum sounds so annoying. For example Perilous Nation is unlistenable.
I Love Testament.... But dislike the Drums on this one😒🙃
Sounds like someone recorded themselves drumming in their bedroom playing along to the album playing on a boom box in the background... with the mic facing the drums. So disjointed. Some nice riffs and some obvious talent but there's little variation in the vocal lines and the levels are a disaster. 5/10
As a metal fan I never care about the production...I care about the songs and the feeling that they give to the listener...in metal never was the goal to be all crystal clear in production... DIY...
Metallica slayer kreator overkill sodom the king of trash Parabiago milano italy numero 1
Offensively horrible.
Well then pop your Taylor Swift CD back in and beat it..............
@@thomash4447Hilarious. Funny thing is, I could just as well pop a Swift CD and get the same effect as with this turd of an album re: intensity. I'd sooner choose a thrash record with more bite and punch, though. Lucky me, there are plenty of those, also including Testament albums shockingly.
Metallica are great too, let's not forget that 😏
Stupid comment
they were
Something changed with the Black album, they lost their compass i'm afraid 😒 Testament have stayed true to thrash til this day in my opinion!
