Regarding Catholic fiction, I highly recommend The Light series by Jacqueline Brown (for older teenagers/young adults). The series follows a small group of college student friends who find themselves stranded after an EMP attack, and have to learn to grow, as individuals and in community, in order to survive. The series is deeply influenced by the author's Catholic faith, and explores the meaning and importance of the faith in times of struggle. This series is one of the best I have found that addresses faith (specifically Catholic) in a mature and relevant (rather than fanciful or juvenile) manner.

It’s so nice to find another young Catholic that loves classic rock! Both of my parents love it and have introduced me to so many bands. The Beatles, Wings, and Rush are my favorites. I have a fairly large vinyl collection as well! :)

Based answers to genuinely tough questions. Ngl I actually thought this was a 'live' livestream so I may have gotten up at 6.00 am to watch but you know what, I just got to see the sun rising, and that's a blessing every time, no questions asked. Looking forward to more of your videos, God Bless! 🙏🕯

If I can’t go to the mixed wedding. Can I go to the reception to pray for them and drink free beer?😆

Hi Amber! I’m really looking forward to seeing some Lent videos from you this year. I have learned so much from you and you’ve really helped me deepen my faith. I’d love to share your Lent videos with my family who are also trying to deepen their faith and we’re starting up prayer groups and faith sharing and I’d love to talk about your videos ❤️ thanks for all you do

On the last point, I would say don't date a lukewarm Catholic in hopes of changing that person. Instead, see if he or she is interested in growing stronger in the Faith before you pursue a relationship. You may end up doing a great service for the one you're interested in, and perhaps start dating later. Catholics often fall away due to a lack of guidance, so it's important to handle the situation with kindness, although I understand that even if all goes well, a more steady Catholic is likely to be a better choice. God bless.

Amber you are on point about routines. Whoever sent that in I would say definitely to write down the routine if possible. Additionally, to whomever sent that in if you implement any routines don’t be too hard on yourself if some days it doesn’t go perfectly. It can take some time to adjust. Also be willing to adjust. For instance in terms of the bedtime routine it may be easier to have a time you would prefer to be in bed or asleep.

I like the journaling suggestion. That will add some check on the faithful's perception bias. I've not read the book of Job (but I've heard it talked about on the Internet), and as far as having prayers answered, I'd say God does play favorites and looking for an explanation for everything presupposes a Saintly trust worthy of the Church's protection.

12:20 I’m curious, so would you attend a protestant/orthodox/non religious friend’s wedding ever? As in, people who did not leave catholicism, but were never in it.

    5:00 Catholic Fiction
Read the Lord of the Rings. Tolkien was a Catholic and there is a bunch of Christian symbolism in it

Christian Fiction Recs: The Pendragon Cycle (it's adapted as a tv-show by The DailyWire with Brett Cooper), Lord of the Rings, The Wingfeather Saga and The Chronicles of Narnia are my favorites. :)

Apparently Pints with Aquinas is doing a '5 part masterclass' on The Lord of the Rings (just noticed it's only for supporters unfortunately, I might need to jump on that bandwagon) but like honestly, those are pretty good book recommendations. Angel Studios also started a show for Wingfeather Saga that was pretty neat, waiting for season 2 (hopefully this year)

I suppose you don`t have a problem if we attend religious weddings of friends of other Christian denominations, right? Or even civil weddings, if they aren`t religious? Of course I don`t even need to ask you about attending weddings or civil unions of same-sex people.
