Morissette became a Christian 2 1/2 years ago. She's included a few Christian songs in her repetoire and it seems when she praises God, with her singing, there's something more, not really intentional but spiritual, she gives in those songs. She's not afraid to tell people she thanks God for all she has. This is truly a beautiful testimony from her to her love of God. Thank you for reacting. Not many seem to be doing that to this song. This is, by far, one of the most beautiful songs ever written done by one of the most beautiful singers on this planet. (Her tears were very real as professed by those who were actually there during this performance. They all cried several times)

@@guitarist1025 I really don't know. I know she's done songs in Favor Church there, in the Phillipines. But she did post, many many MANY videos ago that I watched that she did become a Christian (at the time, 2 years ago) and it's been at least a year since I read that.
I was so moved then i read what was shared that they all cried in that one take. Wow for sure, goosebumps to the soul.

Truly, He is the Messiah that we all longed for to forgive, heal and deliver us. He’s the One that we ever need ….His ever sufficient mercy and grace each and every time we feel we’ve lost our way in this dark world…..

Could You Be Messiah is part of an original Filipino Christian musical entitled First Name, staged some 30 years ago in Manila. the musical's book and lyrics was written by Freddie Santos who passed away last December. this video is part of a tribute to Freddie- a reimagination of the songs from First Name- and streamed last February, in time for his birthday.
Definitely the song of our times and the reawakening of our souls in the midst of global uncertainties.
