Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) takes oath as Sikkim Chief Minister for second consecutive term

Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) took oath as Sikkim Chief Minister for a second consecutive term on June 10. The swearing-in ceremony was organised at the Paljor stadium in Gangtok. The ceremony saw the attendance of a large number of people. Tamang’s party Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) retained power in the Himalayan state with a landslide victory. SKM won 31 of the 32 Assembly seats in Sikkim earlier this month.
