Fantastic advice. Gone from full butterfly to corner of mouth after following your instructions with my first calculations. Never realised pre-bought bands needed cutting.
Good explanation Nick. Good to see you post. I'm loving the orange pouches I got from you. I've ordered couple times from the U.S. I just put them on mine or a family member. I put the cheaper one's on people I gift or sell to haha!
My question is why is there no one formula that will give the length of the band . One person said to divide the total length of the draw by 4 and you now say divide by 5.5 so this is telling me there is no accurate formula for a person to use. Is there someone or something that can explain the proper formula to be used by everyone and not what a person feels is proper for himself. I also know there are 3 types of band and each one is for a different use. whether target , hunting or general.
I use 5.5 with all bands, it generally puts me in the right area, I will then tailor them to suit . Not only is there many different makes of bands, I also find the elasticity can vary from roll to roll.

90% of everyone is 30" draw i notice. Even mine and im 5 4
Yes , your probably about right .. 30-32 inch .
You'd think there would be a wide variation especially people with longer limbs but i guess not
