And bits & moments I feel like the real Paige comes out where she sounds like herself and not Ariana. In 1:41 when the interviewer gets her going talking about Ariana as another person and not the third person comparing herself to Ariana and the interviewer was just asking her what Paige herself felt about Ariana reaching out. And moments like that where she’s not reminded she’s “just like Ariana” parts of herself come out and it shows.

It stands for disassociative identity disorder and according to a definition on an APA related website its a psychological thing when you impersonate/imitate someone so much to the point where you associate yourself as them. So the whole plot line was people believing there were ghosts doing things like knocking shit over and it would actually just be this girl and she was so out of it that even she got scared when things happened that SHE did. It was almost like possession but like she's possessing herself. So the girl was pretending to be this royal dancer but in history the dancers soon to be husband (another royal dancer) was killed so the girl felt like she needed to avenge that by becoming her and so she acted like the dancer and it got so bad where in her world her real husband was like the guy who killed the male dancer for her and so she was trying to kill him. And she would dance around in costume and jewelry and speak Bengali (something the girl herself couldn’t do, just the female dancer) and like almost finish living the dancer’s life for her. Its kinda confusing but it was due to the girl who was infatuated with the royal history having had childhood trauma.
The movie ends by this therapist guy who stages a death scene for her, like he gets a dummy and makes her stab that and then she feels satisfied that she avenged the female dancer’s sorrow of her lover male dancer being killed. And he explains to her and everyone else that she had this disorder which made her forget her identity at times and she switched personas to avenge the past and the moral of the story was also that there is no ghosts, it was her all along and even she didn't know it.
