In this episode I finally get to make some passes against a few cars at the local drag strip. I also struggle with the car a little and I can't seem to turn it up. Grab some popcorn and watch me make a few pulls, walk the lanes and run a new personal best et and mph!!

haha. The tech guy got a kick out of it too. I leave it in the car because its where my son has to sit when he rides in it and, its a pain in the ass to take in and out so I just leave it in the car all the time. It would be funny to see a guy with a car seat pull away form you at the drag strip. 😂

It's just a 365 small block pump gas motor Th400 with transbrake, 4.11 gears, and a pretty small tire. Its nothing serious just a street strip car.

Thanks man! At the end of the day its really about if your having fun or not. This car is fun at this point and has plenty of room to grow. I enjoy making these videos and I hope it inspires others to get out and just live a little.I also hope that people have fun watching and following along.

Man the malibu is runnning strong on low boost! You'll be in the 6's no sweat and still have a very budget oriented setup thats very streetable/reiable. Great job optimizing what you have and making it work
Thank You! I don't know if the car will see a 6.xx but I think a low 7 is int its future once I get things figured out. If I can just leave a little harder (was only at 2200rpm) or figure out a way to two step it through the computer, I don't think ill even have to turn it up at all to do a little better. I may just work with what I have and see what I can do instead of throwing money at it for now considering I'm low on funds like the rest of the world at the moment 😅
@@Burndown Oh it will do it. Just have to get it to launch. You're trapping almost 100mph on 5 lbs bro lol.. 10-12 lbs will absolutely get you there. Nothing a little fine tuning cant handle. You got it man 👍
@@Burndown if you can get the brakes to hold try getting on the converter a little more and playing with the timing table to see if you can leave a little more aggressively. 2 step isnt really necessary Imo
Yeah I need to see how much I can give it before it rolls. If I can get the RPM up a little more it should be a lot closer to boost or may even start boosting. That would be a game changer all by its self @@dre83cpt

Thanks!!! Im running a 235 Mickey Thompson Drag radial Sport version on a 7" rim
Have you considered using front fender wheel openings on the rear so your not so limited on tire size
It hooks fine at the track right now because it leaves soft. I would like to put it on a 275 drag radial at some point but its ok for now.@@CharlieBrown-pb9xn
The 98mph is capable of 1.50s 60 ft if spooled up and biting. You may have one and im not 100% sure on this but a 12bolt from a 65 327 car may fit and elcaminos and wagons may be a source too.
I have a 10 bolt 😬 so.... yeah no trans break for me yet. I think im going to try to stall it a bit more at the line and see if I can get it to 100mph as is. It will get a rear end some tires, safety and a trans break at some point. Right now I don't have the time or cash for that but I'll get there. Thanks for the heads up on the 12bolt rear. I know I can get a 9" form speed way pretty cheap so may go that direction in the future.@@CharlieBrown-pb9xn
