The Order of Loves and JD Vance - WorldView with Alex Kocman

Vice President JD Vance said an interesting comment that sent the internet into a firestorm. But is his comment on the "order of loves" Biblical? How are Christians supposed to love those near and far to us?

I'm thankful you shined a spotlight on this. I'm sad, but probably shouldn't be surprised, that the church has so many differing perspectives on a concept that appears so basic.

I think the dangerous part is that Vance used this concept to imply that one can use the Bible to say that one is morally obligated to ignore those hurting around the world. Even if this concept is true if used correctly, him using it to further his political agenda gives Christianity a bad name. Yes, one must help those closest to them FIRST. But that doesn't mean that they should NEVER help anyone else.
