This was my older brothers favorite song growing up. He would always blast it in his truck whenever he would drop me off to school. This song brings back memories. He passed away earlier today. Love you Joaquin 🖤
anyone who talks shit on them clearly hasn't looked at lyrical content. they have more solid albums than almost any band I know. met all three of them personally, I'll be a fan till I die. there is nothing in the world like an alkaline trio concert.
ahmen ive got the band tattoed on my arm and on my soul. this music got me through every tough time in my life and i too will be a fan till i die. There really isnt anything like a large group of alkaline trio fans coming together and screaming every word to every song.
Totally agree. Although they were lackluster when I saw them live. I don't blame them, who gets excited about being in Dallas? Rise Against opened and rocked the fuck out.
Dakota Dodds totally agree with you! I never got to meet them, but I have gotten to see them a few times....I'll never forget those shows. P.S. I definitely wouldn't mind meeting Matt Skiba....I'd freak lol
i remember when i was mostly a Matt Skiba fan.. but then i started listening to more of Dan's songs and i was instantly in love. i think what drew me away at the sbeginning was his speech impediment.. its not bad and in fact i actually love it. cuz his voice sounds awesome either way... i love both of em
Nick Ortiz it's funny you say that because when i first started listening to them like 17 years ago -goddamn I'm old :( - i didn't know there were two singers. and I'm so dense that i didn't realize it for months. but before i found that out i was always very partial to Dan's and i wondered why "THE singer" sounded so differently on some songs than on others. lol..
american soldier lol ur not the only one that didn't notice Dan and Matt both singing. first I heard of trio was radio, back when this cd came out. my buddy had singles (later "self titled", though I'll call it singles forever) in his CD player, and I borrowed it thinking it had radio, and as soon as goodbye forever came on, I turned into a lifelong trio fan. did not care one bit that it wasn't the CD with radio on it. Just had to go buy both cds. shortly (well maybe a year later), from here to infirmary came out, and man did they keep up with how fkin awesome they are. No falling off!
This is the first time I listened to this Dan goodie in several years. "Most exciting thing I do / Hang half way out a third floor window," I DID FALL OUT A THIRD FLOOR WINDOW two summers ago. My friend warned me not to hang out the window and I said, "You're not my mom!" and showed her by leaning back and dangling my feet in the air for show, but then my weight shifted too far out and I fell backwards, head first. I accidentally landed on my feet like a cat to absorb most of the impact but still fractured my spine and broke most of my ribs on the bottom stair three floors down. Uff da.
This house is full of eyes, but I can't look at anyone. they've seen this face one thousand times. the most relaxing thing I do, hang half way out my third floor window, look at rocks if I fall out.I pray that I'll fall hard. and something tough to break me, something sharp to rip into my insides,I bleed out all this pain. sorry I don't even know your name. I guess for me it's easy this way.Well, maybe I'll catch fire. something warm to hold me, something pure to burn
@j0bzz true true!!!! very polished... studio sounding... have we spoken bout this before?? lol but right on! old trio still hits the spot when the time is right :)
@FabulousKilljoysFTW but he doesnt use exteme auto tuning, google it -n- i feel pathetic defending a pop artists, but it just kinda pisses me off when people say false things about anyone. sorry if i sound mean, i really am not meaning to offend. he uses a little auto-tuning in his songs for his albums, but a LOT more people use that then you realzie, the one i remember is maroon 5. anyway, live he just sings.
@bobrulerofall really? Wow, I have a lot more respect for the guy! And I know, most bands and artists use auto-tuning to a certain extent in their music, even if it's just to get themselves sounding perfect for their albums. That's why most bands sound better live, because it's more realistic (:
@raymondmiloshIII cause too many people are into that pop garbage they call ke$ha nd other prime examples of bad music like bruno mars nd that beiber kid -.- people do not care about lyrics anymore it's all whatever sounds good it never matters what the lyrics are anymore
@FabulousKilljoysFTW yup, and oh, really :3 i thought you were being mean, i feel sorta happy now. xD and exactly, just cause they dont get on the note perfectly like a computer doesnt mean it cant sound amazing. a lot moer people can sing than you think, even justin bieber is decent at least, but the garbage his record company produces proves he's exlioting it for money, like a lot of people.
"hey dad were you part of the generation that listened to crappy music O.O?" "No son, i was part of the generation that listened to songs that could kick your ass."
It doesn't just matter what the lyrics are. If Alkaline trio had the best lyrics in the world but shit bass, drums, guitar, and vocals then I wouldn't listen to them.
I don't know why, but I don't like the songs that Dan sings lead on. Don't get me wrong I love it when he sings backup, and I freaking love alkaline trio as a band. He's a fine singer, but the melody and overall feel of his songs don't click with me at all for some reason. :( sorry dan
@bobrulerofall yeah but to a fault his lyrics are terribly repetitive and thats all that he got going 4 him is that yes he can sing but it would't kill to have better lyrics like cmon
This was my older brothers favorite song growing up. He would always blast it in his truck whenever he would drop me off to school. This song brings back memories. He passed away earlier today. Love you Joaquin 🖤

Seriously an underrated song.
This song means so much to me I believe people see what they want in music and get what they need from it whatever it's about
Great comment Gretchen👏👏🐱
20 years later and this still hits the same.
anyone who talks shit on them clearly hasn't looked at lyrical content. they have more solid albums than almost any band I know. met all three of them personally, I'll be a fan till I die. there is nothing in the world like an alkaline trio concert.

Dude my favorite Alk3 song and you uploaded it on my birthday! Is that a sign? haha

@livelovetrio thank you,that was very nice of you!!
thats a great song.
Pshh I've heard this song 1.5 billion times
I still have no idea why I like this but I don't care to think about it. The bassist's voice always felt better in my head I do know that.
@1:59 ... 2:24 I love it!!! Real punk 4ever!!!
I actually enjoy his lisp :) or listhp

@Deathandbliss dude amen about the lyrics. ive been telling people that for ages, its not just about the sound, the lyrics gotta mean somethin too.
@j0bzz true true!!!! very polished... studio sounding... have we spoken bout this before?? lol but right on! old trio still hits the spot when the time is right :)
@Deathandbliss SOOOO TRUE!!!

@nickstan182 i didnt diss it xDD
i love alkaline trio, i dont listen to bruno mars much, but he really can sing though.
anyone who has seen them knows tey pu on an interesting live show
kind of sounds like a jawbreaker song at the beginning
@FabulousKilljoysFTW but he doesnt use exteme auto tuning, google it -n- i feel pathetic defending a pop artists, but it just kinda pisses me off when people say false things about anyone. sorry if i sound mean, i really am not meaning to offend. he uses a little auto-tuning in his songs for his albums, but a LOT more people use that then you realzie, the one i remember is maroon 5. anyway, live he just sings.
111 against 1
Fucking shredding!
I kind of agree. Lyrics are secondary for me when making a song, its more about the emotion, I think.
2 people need Q-Tips!
@bobrulerofall really? Wow, I have a lot more respect for the guy! And I know, most bands and artists use auto-tuning to a certain extent in their music, even if it's just to get themselves sounding perfect for their albums. That's why most bands sound better live, because it's more realistic (:
Because it came out in like 1996
Album: Maybe I'll Catch Fire (2000)
@MzEllieStarr like after a bad break up or a night of drinking to forget said former significant other
@bobrulerofall umm, that's called extreme auto-tuning, mate...
@raymondmiloshIII cause too many people are into that pop garbage they call ke$ha nd other prime examples of bad music like bruno mars nd that beiber kid -.- people do not care about lyrics anymore it's all whatever sounds good it never matters what the lyrics are anymore

"hey dad were you part of the generation that listened to crappy music O.O?"
"No son, i was part of the generation that listened to songs that could kick your ass."
i hate this song, makes me only wanna wake up if this lifes a bad dream
What speech impediment?
It doesn't just matter what the lyrics are. If Alkaline trio had the best lyrics in the world but shit bass, drums, guitar, and vocals then I wouldn't listen to them.
@Deathandbliss bruno mars can sing at least o-o
this song is better rock style =E
@Deathandbliss yeah lol xD
alkaline trio is way better, but i just like bruno mars's voice.
