He puts the tooltip up for esoteric skill enchancement up at 2:48 but states it only gives 8/10/12% dmg increase to esoteric skills, it is 8/10/12% per orb you have thus making your burst windows even higher as full orbs makes your esoteric skills do 8xN. 10xN, or 12 xN % (N=number of orbs you have when using the skill) increase to your esoteric skills.

I first played summoner on russian server, then started a sorcerer on eu, on t2 switched to wardancer, and wardancer is even more fun than i ever imagined

Which engravings are you using in this fight video? I'm assuming you're higher ilvl than I am, considering you are fighting nightfox, but I seem to do roughly 30% more dmg with my abilities. I don't mean this in an sort of flex in any way, just still trying to figure out the best do's and don'ts. I run t3 first intent and t3 keep blunt weapon and am currently 1349ilvl.
This is on a fairly base character in the RU server. I believe I was 1355 in the video with First Intention lv1 and Grudge lvl3. My stats are also not ideal for sure.

Hey i am maining a deathblade and tryied a gunlancer for the past werk - boring... So i made a wardancer and now i am struggling with what class engraving to go for. What would you recommend for the more fun gameplay. I guess the DB will stay my main for tryharding so i just want a fun twink. What is your recommendation?
Hey. Both engravings are fun as the Wardancer is fun in general. The easier one to get going is Esoteric in my opinion. Regardless of what you chose though, she will need some time to get going. Before that she might feel a bit underwhelming. I find Scrapper to be a very fun alt.
What engraving would you recommend for a 1370 gs wanting to play eso ? Only things I’m sure of us grudge 3 :)

Hi there. I would say Keen Blunt Weapon and Cursed Doll are also good but they need to be at lvl3. For no punishment engravings I would do Adrenaline and Raid Captain. They both work very well with an ESO Wardancer. Even at 1370 you can go for 3x3x1. Here you can do Grudge/Keen blunt/Adrenaline/Lvl 1 Esoteric class engraving.

So I would love to go first intention at level 50 but is it really more beneficial to go esoteric at level 50 all the way to Tier 3?! That’s like end end game isn’t it?
You will absolutely be ok to go with First Intention if it is the playstyle you prefer. The only thing is that you will most likely be outperformed by some classes dmg wise. This does not make it bad in any way. As I mentioned First Intention just requires a bit more investment to get going. And yes T3 is pretty much the endgame :)

Hello. So, the mechanical part comes from me playing bow builds in POE and there this pattern is something you non stop. The more important part is how much Swiftness I have. The Swiftness stat actually not only boost your skill cast speed but also you auto attack speed. At 1:50 I am actually in the test arena and I have 1800 Swiftnes which is the absolute best case scenario possible and is something people achieve very very late into T3. That's why they look so smooth. Basically, you have to adjust your clicks based on how much Swiftness you have at any given point of time.

Loved this one ! Can we get more on wardancer in general, for example u recommend first intention in t3 but why is it ? Been trying to find an answer for this in so many different places.
What do u actually gain out of swapping to FI other than what most people tell u which is mobility and a more burst ish playstyle than ESE ?
I crave for data and numbers, but nobody seems to want to answer or just dont know. Does anyone actually have numbers on this subject, does the other one actually have more of something the other build doesnt ? Like overall dmg, survivability, cooldowns and what ever else u can think of ?
With the game being so dynamic it is very difficult to recreate absolutely identical scenarios in an actual Raid/Abyss Dungeon. The only concrete way to test this is by using the Training area where you can do dps checks and can use all runes/stats that you want (max out the character entirely) That metric will still be a non concrete value as most of the time you will be doing this on a non mobile target (training dummy) .
So, I would say it is absolutely best to go with playstyle. I know these are not specific numbers and there is no science behind it, but it is simply the most reliable way to make sure that you are having fun. Non only this but say you do get a concrete value for the performance of the engravings, you gear up and all is good and then 2 months later a balance patch happens and all of sudden the other engraving becomes better. At higher end game it would be a monumental task to swap over to the other build and this is generally discouraged by the game itself.
So, stick to what is most fun to you and play what makes you the most happy because balance patches can make huge swings but you will always stick with a class/playstyle that you enjoy and that is what games are for right :)

@@bilboshaggins6553 Of course. There is a lot of min maxing in Lost Ark for sure but the actual numbers are fairly hidden. The devs have explained that they don't want an "elitest" approach from the player base (something that a dps meter for example could introduce)
The training arena dps meter is probably your best bet though.

@@wholesomez4967 You can go with any engraving. As a new player, don't worry too much about min/maxing early on and just play what looks cool. You won't need gold (at least not too much) for upgrading early. Just make sure to do you daily/weekly Una tasks, 2 guardian raids and 2 chaos dungeons every day. That will give you the materials you need to progress in ilvl. After that go look up a T1 island guide because the real mats are on the islands. Good luck.

how big of a dps loss is it if i don't auto cancel? as i very much like the auto attack animation
I wouldn't say it is anything serious. I don't think aa cancels are done for extra damage here. It is just a faster way of doing some damage. Later on in the game, the content becomes pretty fast, so people try to get every bit of damage quickly.

Can someone explain the constant auto attacking she has? Is it just her abilities or something else that makes her auto attacks good
It is not so much that her auto attacks are super strong compared to the other classes, but rather that she has long downtimes on her abilities. After you do your entire combo, you pretty much have to sit there for several seconds and auto attacking is your only option during that time to do damage. That is all
So would you say that First Intention > Esoteric end game? In terms of dps of course
In rhe current balance patch, I would say they are about equal. This can change of course so just go by playstyle instead.

so uh.. i've started a wardancer not too long ago, as an alt to play w a friend of mine.. we're both at 460 ilvl (i got first intention level 3, cursed doll level 1 and adrenaline level 1) (he's a berserker and he has mayhem level 3) yet my damage is substantially lower than his.. while my moon flash kick does 150k damage, his weakest skill does more.. his hell blade reaches 1m damage.. is this a reason to worry? am I doing something wrong, or is it just cuz zerker is op?.. i'm on the verge of dropping the char, as it is pointless to keep going with it right now.. do you have any advice for me?
Berzerker is indeed in a very good spot right now with the introduction if Mayhem. The main issue with Wardancer is that she feels very very lackluster until late T3. She will never do the same type of burst as Berzerker but her consistent dmg is very high. It is a struggle to play Wardancer through to t3 though for sure. I would advice trying out the Esoteric engraving, it might feel a bit more fluid for the early ilvls and drop Cursed Doll as at level 1 it is more of a negative engraving (maybe look for Raid Captain or Master of Ambush) It gets better with time but it will take a while before you start having asubstantial impact in fights. That is just how Wardancer is unfortunately. At late T3 she is one of the best classes buff and dps wise.

The ones I listed are just recommendation from me. They are also ones that work very well for other classes and all round good. Raid Captain is a fantastic engraving choice as Wardancer is built around Swiftness

The thing I hate about Wardancer is the solo content like Chaos Dungeon and Story Progression. Lack of AoE on her kit just slows down the gameplay and also I need lots of pots to clear Chaos Dungeon because of it. Even though I have wardancer alt at 1340, probably not gonna pump her to 1370 anywhere soon
I am not sure which class engraving you are using but the Esoteric build can include several different AOE abilities that make that type of content a lot smoother. Honestly, I would even not use an engraving for when I am doing chaos dungeons or if you want to invest a little bit, use the Esoteric engraving at lvl1 just for those AOE's. You can easily set up a different preset for Chaos Dungeons. Wardancer feels very lacklustre indeed but things get a lot better with time. All of the fighter classes are a bit gatet right now to be fair.

Where can I enable auto-attack?
You auto attack with either left mouse button or right mouse button. There is no automatic auto attacking in the game.
@@weswes I see. It is an auto attack without auto. So just a basic default attack. That is kind of disappointing. I thought for a moment I could add years to my mouse button life expectancy by just enabling auto...
@@BroddeB Unfortunately not. You can click and hold, which is a bit better for the mouse, but you can't animation cancel by doing that.
i like using all-out-attack and using 5 holding skills. esoteric skill enchancement, crit/specialization. sky shattering blow for counter attacks and the typical roar of courage and winds whisper. Im constantly alternating between Rising fire dragon (holding mode) and call of the wind god while using other holding skills(flash heat fang and moonlash kick both in holding mode). The increased durations and damage for esoteric meter gives smaller windows between cooldowns for right clicking. Buuuut, depending on the target, short bursts may be more viable.
I respect the fact that you have your own set up. A really fun part of the game is doing exactly this. The only thing I would say is exactly what you mentioned in the last sentence. With higher tier engame, shorter bursts become a bit more reliable. You also get a lot more cdr so you really don't AA that much at the super highr tiers.
What skills did u maxed out?
I followed certain guides. I can suggest going over to maxroll.gg They have some pretty good guides over there.

@@micomicoful Every class has a leveling build as well. You can use the slider on the skill point distributor and it will show you a path of how to best use your points. Of course, don't be shy to experiment as well. It is pretty fun to do so 😁
how do you auto attack cancel
You have to time them. Don't hold down the mouse button and don't click too fast. Practice a bit and you will get rhe hang of it.
Maybe using a macro can be useful and painless nah? Just need to preset the timer with ur actual swiftness and make an holding right clic macro??
@@florentinevrard9040 This can totally work and the implementation should not be too hard. However, I think that it might be against ToS. I know the chat macro for the engraving that you need to spell something for the dmg buff is fine but something like an autoclicker might not be ok.

This boss type actually has a Fire version as well. Certain guardians are used 2 times in the different tiers. I like the Dark Aceria(the blue fox) though

Edit: I checked and actually, you get them (or some similar type of ears) if you powepass a character to lvl 50 and you don't skip any of the prologue/training while doing so. Hope this helped 😁

If you go with the Esoteric build, you will be stacking some swiftness. That will increase your punch speed 🙂

@@Lslsdkmvcdysr Deathblow is the preferred T3 engraving in KR but it is soo much harder to play. You basically pray that your Dragon punch ability crits and you do a back attack. I say play what you find more enjoyable friend.

This is my personal experience playing FIRST INTENTION Wardancer
In tier 1 i felt like i was playing a side character while watching my fellow berzerker and sorcerer friends get mvp every single dungeon/raid. Even chaos dungeon took a considerable amount of time compared to other classes (except bard).
However, as soon as i got into tier two at about 1000ish gearscore, got myself some cheap but good engraving accessories, as well as gems for my core abilities i'm getting mvp more frequently in abyssal dungeon and some guardian raids, and chaos dungeon has become much more enjoyable.
I'm currently running level 3 "keen blunt weapon", level 3 "cursed doll", and level 2 "first intention", and I can crit anywhere from 600k-1M with my sweeping kick. As of today i'm 1080 gearscore and will probably go into tier 3 after i finish some weeklies.
if you dont have a lot of gold getting accessories with 2/2 keen blunt weapon and curse doll can help you a long way. they are quite cheap compared to other accessories, and don't forget to buy gems for your core abilities! they help a lot.
The build im running only cost me about 1k-2k gold it's very cheap and you can make the gold back in 1 day, so i highly recommend giving it a try.
@@jamessudarat4658 Fantastic brake down of how you went about solving the tight dmg checks for Wardancer early on. The only thing I would advice is to be careful how much accessories/gear you buy from the auction house. The cost of gold is not the issue but rather the Feons. This is an exceptionally important currency which is not easily obtainable afterwards, without spending actual money. The prices are pretty low now but for T3 stuff they ramp up quickly. Nevertheless, thank you for the detailed explanation James :)
I assume he is mostly joking with the auto attack spamming, I started with this class and just today I reached t3 and honestly I don't auto attack that much. I play first intention and honestly there is no point in auto attacking all the time, well I do use auto attacks obviously, especially in easy content like chaos dungeons but for guardian raids it is much smarter to just do your rota, burst damage and then run away and avoid getting hit. My autos do like what 2k or 3k dmg? While one good placed and timed kick after I applied buffs and debuffs does like 700k with crit or something like that. So it is much smarter to stay alive during cooldowns so you don't waste pots and respawns. That way it is also very easy to learn the boss mechanics and then wait for the perfect window to do massive damage at once.
But I am also an ARPG player, so maybe what I consider auto attacking here and there is already spamming for him lol but after a couple thousand hours playing flask and skill piano in PoE I have to say that wardancer is a very easy and chill class to play.
It's all about perspective. Obviously I have over exaggerated the auto attacking part but the Waedancer class is definitely the class that auto attacks the most of all classes on Lost Ark. Spamming things in PoE is a lot different. I have a few hundred hours there as well and I definitely know what you mean by that 😄

Once I have enough epic class engraving chests I have to make a decision, these things are too hard to get to just go both builds lol. But apparently you need the rune wealth for the esoteric build and for that I would need 5 omnium stars and that seems also very difficult to achieve so idk maybe I stick with first intention but I fear that I get bored of it at some point.
@@jonesjeremiah Well they are both great. In KR at least, more people used to go First Intention but things are about 50/50 now. It's a tough choice to make but don't stress it too much. You can always get more books in the future.

I started with Wardancer...after switching to EUW to be able to have quality gaming time I went with Paladin...and Paladin is like 10x more fun, which made me sad.
Wardancer has actually short-range mobility, VERY short attack hit range on skills, VERY low aoe, and have mana problems even if you do burst playstyle.
Horribly, horribly underpowered, play something else.
They should rework Wardancer, or actually create tripods/runes/engravings and other upgrades for normal attack playstyle, so it gets usage out of all those attacks.
I feel you on this one. She is very short ranged but she does get a lot better with investment. The short range is tackled by the fact that she dishes out her dmg very quickly, while mana issues are resolved with a set you get further down that provides you with a 50% decrease of mana required for all skills.
She does feel very unrewarding for the time being though as there are a lot of things needed to get her going. Wardancer, when geared properly plays/feels very very nice though, but we are a long way from being able to get to that state.
