  • Generic foam latex prosthetic faces are great way to create fast creatures and characters. They are more affordable than creating a prosthetic made custom for your face. The big problem is because they are generic, one size NEVER fits all!
    In this tutorial we will go through the few parts of the face you want to focus on to get a good fit and proper movement. Also how to fix an edge if you accidentally glue it down badly. Along with a list of some tools often used by professional special effects makeup artists, that you may want to try yourself.

    This a really great video tutorial, thanks for taking the time to make it.
    I want to try prosthetics for the first time and I've chosen the Big Bad Wolf, mostly because I know I can get the Big Bad Wolf grandma clothes at the Goodwill, Walmart or somewhere so I know the costume part will be super cheap so I can focus more on buying a great Big Bad Wolf prosthetic. Hopefully it'll only be a $60 costume instead of a $120+ costume. I'm just now finding out how much goes into prosthetics and you are fantastic! :) subbed.

      Thank you! Big Bad Wolf sounds like a fun look. Yes unfortunately prosthetics definitely can get pricey. I hope you have fun with your project 😃

    What can I do about puckered/folded edges when I tear away the flashing? Is that normal to have spots like that?

    • @CrisAlex
      @CrisAlex  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes this is common if there isn’t enough tension on the edges. You want to lightly pull outwards as you are gluing to help any folding that may want to happen. Or you may need to glue the piece down closer to the flashing before removing it.
