Jingles was right, it is a crime that these dont have more views and you dont have more subs!
Superb series. Why won't more people watch these? It's a shame really, maybe people outside of WoT don't know about these and probably not that many from WoT either, I stumbled upon them by chance myself. Anyway, kudos for WG for arranging this.
Almost a decade has passed. These guys are the pinnacle for we metalheads. And yes, I have ALL of Steve Z's books
It's easy to remember stuff you're interested in :)
I know right
wow, this is really good stuff. hope they plan for more of these
I have loved these talks. This is probably my 4th time watching this entire series.
Like this series... these guys have a lot of knowledge and can speak without reading notes/books off the top of their heads. Granted they wrote/write books but jeez, i thought i was a WW2 buff... Great video series... Need to do more of this!
Really enjoying these. Great work.
I just found this and I love it
Zaloga really talks the most... but Fletcher is the funniest.
Fletcher and Doyle together!
Good stuff!!!
I 2nd Paciat's comment! Very good stuff indeed.
@TheChieftainWoT at 20:36 there is no question in the black area.
I'm ready to get screwed on gold ammo if it means we can have this :)
Finally.. somebody thinks of training ..
The men of the West are just amazing. Genius and genial. Can't beat these chaps.
Edit:
...unless they cause their own demise. Beware, you're on the brink...
damm how do they retain all this information!
Reading volume upon volume of military records and writing about said volumes. Information goes in to brain, the individual turns it into knowledge by rewriting it in their words, and either remembers it well or rereads/updates their notes regularly.
Vituperate more importantly it's because they're genuinely interested in the subject. If you aren't interested in something, you're a lot less likely to retain information about it
The problems I've seen with the French Tanks, not being aware of their break downs - were several things.
1) They had one man turrets. So the guy in the turret is trying to do 3 things. He's trying to command the tan, man the gun and load the gun. Lindybeige has an entertaining skit he does on this where he acts out the one guy trying to do all three things
ua-cam.com/video/HV2nIkqnGBI/v-deo.html
2) This comes from using French tanks in World of Tanks - which was there guns.
a) They had a high velocity gun that stood a good chance of getting a penetration but - it's explosive charge was to small and it didn't do that much damage.
b) They had a gun with a larger shell - that could do more damage but it's velocity limited it's penetration power was limited and that made it harder to get a penetration.
.
Do you think you might have over done the intro just a little??
2012 was a diffrent time for youtube. Creators on the site wanted more serious intros so that the site would be taken more seriously
@@SigurdKristvik I guess you are right on this one.
2019 anyone
I raise your 2019 to 2020. Checkmate Mr. Hammer.
@@thomaswaddell2711 well fellow tankist i will watch them all again
2021
End of 2022 and still watching.
Actually 7TP wasn't just a straight Vickers copy, like Mr. Zaloga suggests. It was an upgraded, development version of it with new engine, thicker armor, 37mm AT gun, Gundlach periscope and a radio.
So, it was an upgraded Vickers copy...
The 7TP actually had thinner armour than the 6 ton. The 7TP also had a twin-turret variant like the Vickers 6 ton.
Nice content, but there should really be German, Russian and French experts on this board.
Hilary is an expert on German armour. The people on this board are the best, English speaking, tank experts around. A French expert is no use if they can't be understood.
LOL LT-35 is copy of Vickers 6 ton?! they dont even look similarly, suspension diferent, LT-35 have hull mounted MG and comanders copula, only thing thats is similiar is that both of them have engine in back of the tank and gearbox with finaldrive in the front.
Speaking of daft stuff if Hitler wouldn't have listened to his top generals and gave the OK Krupp would have very happily built the extremely expensive Ratte P1000 the 1000 ton tank
