For someone like me who learns visually, I can see everything you do and I'm not lost anymore. I considered giving up on this, but I though maybe I'd try once more. Thankyou for the excellent lesson, you've given me a new hope that this will work and look great!!

This is the easiest video on Dragon Scales for my old brain to learn! I had a very large bold copper bracelet and wanted to make it smaller in width. I have my notes from 2005, but it was not clear this weekend. Spent most of the weekend looking for a video that clicked. Thank you...

Can you show how this holds up against knife stabs? I know butted mail is not real armor, but with the higher density of this weave I wonder if the butted mail could actually function as armor.

Why you not use the tools your hand hide all the rings. So problem for understanding.

Doing it the hard way! Suspend the pairs side by side, the start joining them together.

there is NO WAY he bought those rings. They're not that clean for one, very marked.. also those pinch cuts make horrible closures. That said, those rings are awesome for learning on. Once you get a weave down, then switch to cleaner saw cut rings.

Also one tip; never EVER use galvanized wire, or anything but raw steel or iron. If it is soft enough to bend with your hands it is annealed, which means you will need to harden it and heat treat it to do so. If you heat treat galvanized wire you'll suddenly start smelling sounds and hearing colours then end up living the rest of your life as a potato. Unless you're just doing this for decoration in which case you already are a potato.

Just remove the zinc in a safe way. I haven't tried but I'd put the finished piece or even just the cut rings or wire lengths in a vinegar bath for two or three days outside where no one is breathing, then a baking soda bath to deionize or whatever the acid with a base or whatever. Idk the terminology or the science but it should work

Now do it riveted and let see you say it's easy after that. :)
