Great video, it gives a clear and concise explanation of the core idea. Most videos on the topic focus on all the things you can buy, but fail to explain how you actually play.

@@c0dexus thank you! I know my first reaction when I learned about solo roleplaying was wanting to know how it worked so I figured an explanation video would be useful.

This is a really good video! Very clear and helpful. I've been "soloing" for about a year and I i still struggle with the "what do I do now" sometimes. I've also found that collecting cheap/free pdf versions of games and supplements, is very addictive!

@@jonio38 thank you!! Yes the struggle is definitely real with all the amazing supplements out there, so much that I find it hard sometimes choosing which ones to use! I’m hoping I can showcase some of the staples here in future videos.
As for “what do I do now” - when unsure of what happens next, my favorite go to is to switch gears to “in media res” mode that turns the action up to 11. My character has to react to it all first and then figure out the why behind what’s happening later.

I have never played any DnD game. It does sounds interesting to think of a solo RPG. I feel like such a game is fun back you have other people playing.

@@chrisbkingdom thank you for watching 😊. It is very fun both with others and solo (just in different ways). If you would like to try DnD with other people and have a local game store nearby, lots of them do RPG demos and game days where they will teach you to play.
