The people you hear on Discord in the video are all members of the 30th Ohio, each regiment (essentially a clan) have their own server In this event, members of a Union regiment play on the Union side while Confederate regiments play on the CSA side. You're free to join a regiment on either side and you usually stick to the same regiment throughout the entire campaign (months-long weekly event like the one you see in this video) If you're interested in participating, the official War of Rights discord (link in desc) has a recruitment channel for both Union and CSA regiments that you can look into to find a regiment that suits you, just make sure to ask if they're participating in the HDC event. Some regiments try to take it a little more seriously while others have a more casual vibe (such as the 30th).
