Oh my! your poor friend! I feel just heartsick for her missing out on those large molds she wanted. 😥 I love the framed girl w/horse lithograph...that is such a WIN! ❤
I got to my first of this year estate sale today in Waterloo. I got a smallish brass candle stand ($1), a looks new to me paint brush ($1), a large glass bowl which I’ll donate somewhere but it had two round three inch flower frogs like the one you showed ( which is the reason I bought the dang bowl, lol) for $3, a bunch of white candles $4, hey we live in Iowa, we have storm, so just in case. There were a few other items but spent a whopping $10. You NEVER tell someone waiting in line what you’re there for. NEVER!!! I would be SO PISSED TOO. That white farmhouse pictures, that was a score!
The ceramic frog. My parents used to do ceramics when I was a kid. They had their own kiln in the basement etc. I can’t tell you how many of those I helped paint. I actually have one next to my sink. Not one that came from my parents. One I picked up at a thrift store just because of the memories. 😂
I buy the flower frogs too, but I grab the bigger glass ones. Thick and heavy with 13 holes usually. They make AMAZING organizers on a desk. Pens, markers, nail clippers, scissors (point down), basically anything that will fit in the holes.
Thats crazy it was that busy. When mom passed 2yrs ago we had an estate sale in her home in Boone We had very few customers, and the people we did have wanted stuff for nothing Mom had alot of antiques, good stuff. Its funny you were talking about the marble dish with the birds, we had 5.00 on it, nobody bought it so I took it😂 it does have a bird missing. People are greedy, they will stab you in the back for a dime. He ought to be ashamed of himself. Love your foot stools😊
@@cindykane6227 Well that's too bad! Did you have a company hold the estate sale? Typically if someone has antiques people are there! That bird bath is $100+ depending on size! Glad you kept it!
I am perplexed about estate sales around here. I have been to one ( normally just do garage sales)…..and at the estate sale I could hardly move. When I watch you tube videos of other people (not in Iowa) at estate sales, they sometimes are completely alone in the house or have just a few people around.
@@Lynn-sc9ci Yes!! I have the same thoughts!!!! But, I do know a few people get to go first to estate sales, so they film and buy! before the public is let in!
I have the bird bath and birds. It was my moms. It was in our house growing up. I was born in 58. She has dementia I can’t ask her where or when she got it. I will never get rid of it. It will go to my granddaughter

I am also thinking that is a bar cart or table and the copper insert is an ice bucket.
@@maryfrancesbaker289 I think you guys are right!
Hope you feel better
@@RedRoadgifts I did and now a sore throat!! Neighboring school district closed 2 days because so many kids were home sick!
I wonder if that was used as a bar and the bowl was maybe used for ice
@@theoldsonso Maybe!!! That makes more sense to me!
Hi, how did you know it was Viking glass. I never even heard of that. Thanks.
@@Lynn-sc9ci When I researched the amber one I had picked up a lot of the listings said Viking glass🤷♀️

One of my birds is off. It needs glued. Must be common.

Sometimes I think estate sales bring out the worst in people.
@@okskookumbabe I agree!!! it’s kind of like going to auction and then bidding higher than you plan to in the heat of the moment🤪😂
