We're back with the queens Red Velvet, today we're taking a look at Red Velvet 'Happiness' Queens Archive from all members. I am so excited for Red Velvet comeback, they're here to save summer. Red Velvet (Korean: 레드벨벳) is a South Korean girl group formed and managed by SM Entertainment. They originally debuted on August 1, 2014 with the digital single "Happiness" with the four-member line-up of Irene, Seulgi, Wendy and Joy. The fifth member, Yeri, joined the group in March 2015, following their first major release, Ice Cream Cake. Musically, the work of Red Velvet reflects their own group name: their predominantly-pop "red" side experiments occasionally with electronic, funk and hip hop, while their "velvet" side focuses on '90s-influenced R&B with elements of ballad and jazz.

If you’ve reacted to Ice Cream Cake, i bet you can remember the big cat that was sitting beside Joy lol, it’s the same cat here. And the cake Yeri made was the cake in Ice Cream Cake too (her debut song if that’s not special enough !) and yes. You watched it in reverse order. The cat at the teaser video you first watched was a senior cat (you can see because of the whiskers, it had black whiskers) and cats become seniors when they reach their 7th year, which makes sense because the videos are for Red Velvet’s 7th anniversary, they’re entering the senior stage. The song used in the first video was Kingdom Come, it was used to close the archive so we can move on to their new album “QUEENDOM.” pretty smart !! They’re all cats because they’re all at their 7th year in the industry and that’s what the cat was supposed to represent (take note that these are just theories lol) The songs used in all of their vids are past b-side tracks, they made this project to introduce bsides that weren’t given much love when they were first released (that’s why it’s called Queens ARCHIVE) just to commemorate how much they’ve done for the past 7 years as a group. They have alternate egos in the individual trailers because it’s supposed to represent a “new them.” so when they close the archives that commemorates the past, a new chapter begins with a (new) stronger version of themselves, and that’s what they will represent in Queendom, the new them !! hehe

"I Just" & "Kingdom Come" hits hard differently when you loud speaker in a car at night drive tho🔥 You can feel your soul & mind transcending to their music at that moment. The whole "The Perfect Red Velvet" album suits for night drive🌌🌃
My personal favorites are Bad Dracula, I Just, Sunny Side-Up, and Sassy Me! I LOVE the songs they picked!

“Shine on Me” by Wendy was definitely the best that happened that year (even until now). I first stanned Red Velvet back in Power Up era but I’ve known them since Ice Cream Cake era. The white has heterochromia (two different eye colors) and it was first seen in Ice Cream Cake MV together with Joy. We still can’t figure out who the real cat is among the girls but I concluded that all of them are the cat hahahaha Love your reactions! Pls continue supporting Red Velvet 💖

The yellow/blue heterochromic eyes on the cat is imagery that SM used before, on f(x)'s "Red Light". IIRC it signifies immaturity in some sense; at the end of "Red Light", the same cat's eyes are the same color...it's "grown up" over the course of the MV, presumably because of thoughts provoked by the message in the lyrics.

All of the videos was about their 7th Anniversary by reminiscing all of RV's songs, particularly MVs. You can see all the things used in their MVs, including the pizza you just saw. There's also the painting in peekaboo, the werewolf mask in RBB, the cake in Ice cream cake, the tennis court in Russian Roulette and many more. The video is also partly about they're upcoming title "Queendom". That's why the series is called Queen's Archive. The songs used in the videos are all B-sides from their albms. Also the cat is from Ice cream cake MV, which Red Velvet considers as their Debut since it's the era where Yeri was added to the group.

OH MY GOODNESS YES! I clicked so fast when I saw the notification, I am so glad that you reacted to Happiness and their Queens of Archive Videos I am so excited for their Comeback on August 16th! And they all were so Gorgeous back then and Today just Wow they look absolutely Insane it's so good to see them all back healthy and happy, and the amazing thing about Happiness during that Era Wendy had Vocal Nodules which is crazy how she sang like that she is called the Best Vocalist in the 3rd Generation for a reason! Remember that is archive, which it's like a compilation of their previous mini and rampage albums. That's why they have a previous song and scenario. That cat was introduced to us in ice cream cake which Yeri remakes on her solo video.
I would like to say Reveluvs are highly intellectual individuals. The amount of time and energy we pour figuring the narrative behind the teasers, song lyrics, and their music videos. When we thought we figured the teasers out, RV will just clown ourselves when they release the comeback and then we analyze every single detail all over again. At this point, I am not shookt that I am shookt. They will just hit you in a different direction in whatever they do. You better react to Be Natural and see how as rookies RV giving off top notch pro material. Automatic is also a great R&B songs and definitely a must watch.
Imagine in 2014 watching that MV... It was so shock. At that time I stand SM groups because they were so legendary and iconic but when RV debuted with that song and Be Natural: I was touch by the heavens and I know, I will be with them forever. 7 years after, here we are... Waiting our queens!!

When RV debuted, it was the style for a small group to have one power vocalist, or a vocal line roughly 25-33% of larger groups. In f(x), that was Luna; in SNSD (OT9) it was Taeyeon, Jessica, and Tiffany, OT8 the vocal line equaled TTS. Then Mamamoo burst everyone's bubble by having three incredible vocalists and one damn good one (forced to rap most of the time) ...now everyone's trying to match that formula 😄

Yeri wasn’t added yet but actually did appear in RV’s debut MV as they included some of the SMrookie girls in the very beginning after the parrot fly by, one of the girls is Yeri 🥺 Think a lot of reveluv don’t know that but yea 🥺 so cute
Ps: also a little tea 🍵 rv had to take down their debut mv and repost it cuz in the fun magazine cutout scene, the editor included a scene of a plane crashing into the 9/11 building and many found it inappropriate n they had to re-edit it 😬😌🍵
