Hundreds rally at Statehouse to improve childcare in Ohio

In his State of the State address last month, Gov. Mike DeWine called for a new child care choice voucher program. It would pay for an additional 8,000 Ohio children -- 50% more than currently served. Families making up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level -- that's $60,000 for a family of four -- would qualify.
The governor said he is re-allocating federal funding to dedicate $85 million for new “Child Care Access Grants” to improve and expand existing child care facilities.

Childcare is the parents responsablity and only the parents! It is not the taxpayers problem nor should it ever be, get off your lazy butt and take care of your own kids! If you are to lazy to take care of your kids then dont have them, simple really!

In our massively overpopulated and ever more natural resource depleted world, the last thing we need is more support for reproduction. I grew-up in UA, Hilliard, and Cols. in the 1950's and 60's, and recently moved back to a small city in SE Ohio in retirement. I cannot find Hillard and am terrified every time I try to weave my way through the highway congestion and neighborhood disruption that is today's Col's., I want to cry. Too many humans are using too many natural resources and producing too much pollution, including CO2 and waste heat. Our climate is in a state of collapse, in case you haven't noticed. Still want to bring another innocent life into this nightmare?
