Both afraid at the same time that this drinking could set a bad example.
Both naturally insensitive to any toxins got the "job". Both probably in good health can tolerate some drinks. Small amount of alcohol mixed with farming chemicals in regulated range.
It could be strange to feel like that if one thing is wrong then there must be always another wrong as well.

He sure liked to give it to his friends. There was a California Sparkling Wine (it can only be called Champagne if it’s from the Champagne region in France) Nixon gave to his buddies all the time. The California Sparkling Wine came from Chateau Montelena in Calistoga. That particular Sparkling Wine beat many French Champagnes in blind taste tests. Really pissed the French off.
Whether he drank it or not is academic because he knew wine, he was an expert actually. He was also one helluva poker player and used his poker winnings to support him through Duke Law School.
He was one dirty S.O.B. though. Some of the stuff he did even as a lawyer in Whittier, CA was really crappy. He was quite a con-man.
I grew up watching Nixon’s career. He was only a “statesman” because he was such a good con-artist; legendary actually.

Soviet players were given (er, ordered) intense fitness training. In those days North American hockey players slacked all summer, then just did a few days of pre-season before they faced others who were also about as ready.
Surprise, the Soviets were VERY ready. They said yes to the series because they planned to embarrass the West

If Brezhnev would have he'd have had Nixon shot then and there. Those two never really saw eye to eye on anything. They always disagreed no matter the case.

    MLF will scare Brezhnev...
I hope he is half as scared as I!
    - Tom Lehrer
The Multilateral Force (MLF) was an American proposal to produce a fleet of ballistic missile submarines and warships, each crewed by international NATO personnel, and armed with multiple nuclear-armed Polaris ballistic missiles. Its mission would be a nuclear defence of Western Europe against Soviet threats in the Cold War while allowing NATO members besides the U.S. to play a role in nuclear warfare. It was never implemented.

Trump realizes just engaged and talk to the foreign leaders and you can work any problem out that they we have very simply it's common sense Comma nobody was talking to Korea while we're building up a military force to attack them in the event they get out of control Come on you could talk to North Korea and they will reduce their Military Prowls and start thinking about being a good country again that's how President Trump had it
