In his first interview with pinkvilla post the release of Kalki 2898 AD, Nag Ashwin opens up about the success of his futuristic epic, and looks back at the appreciation and the criticism he received for the film. The director insists that the Kalki 2898 AD sequel needs a lot of prep, and he has already shot with the cast for 20 days. He promises a face-off between Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in Kalki 2, and lauds the contribution of Prabhas to the world of this blockbuster. Nag Ashwin believes that the interval block with Deepika Padukone is iconic and feels that SS Rajamouli should make Mahabharata for the spectacle soon. Nag also reasons why he didn’t cast a known face for Lord Krishna’s track and hints at the return of Vijay Deverakonda and Dulquer Salmaan in the sequel. Watch Video

This is a Telugu movie and has many meta reference to Telugu culture. The opening fight of prabhas has the background score of the rendition of Bhagavadgita by the legendary Singer Ghantasala master! The ending sequence has kamal hasan reciting the great poetry of legendary Telugu poet laureate Sri Sri from his long poem, Mahaprasthanam.

On the Prabhas's physical comedy part: It worked pretty well in Telugu and i can understand it didnt land well in Hindi due to dubbing issues.
bro my parents watched it with me, Telugu lone and they said the comedy was shit. They liked the second half too. Prabhas has lost his thing for comedy man, even I felt cringed out. If they reduce the comedy a bit in the 2nd part it will be a great movie. Also the cinematography is straight up bad in the Prabhas intro and in his comedy scenes. Like wtf are those frames man very weirdly set.
@@trakshanreddy5490 only issue I had was with Prabhas intro scene. It is true that it was messed up. But don't extrapolate it with all the work Prabhs did in the 1st half. Comedy was not shit. It is the issue with expectations of some after the opening Mahabharata scene. Comedy in sci-fi always has different flavour. It is difficult to accept it if you are not open minded.

in telugu language and prabhas timing of comedy it worked well why i dont know other language people are feeling cringe i dont know i think they felt this is jonour of only scifi with mytho .yes i accept he didnt get his full nailed role just imagine when prabhas get to know when he is karna then he will steal the show just waiting for the time 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Regarding the cameos, ashwin said it's his tribute to the masters of Telugu cinema, ramgopaal varma and rajamouli. He added there will be less cameos in part 2,with more focus on prabhas and kamal hasan show.

Personally, I don't want to see the idiotic action choreography of Rajamoulli where one punch in air sends 10 guys flying in slow motion!😂 imagine he makes our Revered God's doing such horrific overdramatic scenes..it will be a disrespect!

Salaar 2 Beginning part will be shooting by Prithviraj and also major sequence is going to happen.Pushpa 2 and in Kalki 2 Respective actors will stole the Show.

In telugu we didn't feel anything bad about his comedy timing.only thing differentiate between other languages is lack of dialogue delivery flowing through towards the scenes.They didn't dubbed very well . and also prabhas old films (vintage) movies is good comedy and romantic movies like (bujjigadu, Darling,mr perfect,varshan,eeshwar,ek neranjan, especially Billa,,etc) . In my opinion.
We didn't feel bored and lagging scenes while watching the movie we were laughed and we felt fun .
Bro,, stop giving importance to mahabharatha. Why you are promoting stories of the casteist religion???
